Chapter two

Erica had not moved from her spot for hours. She clung onto her father's body until it felt cold. Her dress and hands were covered in blood. Blood that was on her hands. She was foolish to think that he would let her go or that she could kill him. Instead she had ended up causing her packs extinction.

Women men and children all gone because of him. But sue was done being sad and she had no tears left to shed. She was going to make him pat and once she got a hold of him she was going to make him wish that he had never made the decision to have her as his mate.

There was only one place that she knew that she could go. Only one place that She knew would be willing to help her out and that was the council. They governed over all supernatural beings and if she gave them a good enough offer she knew what they would have no other choice than to help bring down Alex.

She stood up slowly from her spot as she closed her packs eyes. It was her job to bury them now and she did one by one and with the final stone turned she made the vocation that she would avenge them.

She stumbled up to her feet as she managed to start making her way towards the tree line. She would find the council wherever it was they stopped and she knew where she would have to start in order to find them.

She knew she would have to Find Haga the witch. She was a friend of her fathers and she was the one who had helped him with some of the medicine that he had used to ease some of his heart ache. She was in fact the only reason that he had been able to survive that long.

They had grown up together in the capital. There was an ancient city where the super naturals used to roam free amongst each other. After Erica’s father had saved her life she vowed to keep him safe and protect him in any way that she could.

It was a dept that she ensured that she was going to keep and she vowed that she would repay. She knew that Haga she lives within the Rica Cove within the woods and if she was willing bargain with her help that she would be able to find the information that she needed.

She traced her steps away from Her pack and away from everything that she had loved and the father that she got away the stronger her need for revenge became and the stronger her emotions felt. As she made her way into the cove. She found a light flickering over a large stone walled house as she came to a stop before it. She gulped as she knocked her palm against the door with hesitant.

She heard loud shuffling coming from the other side as she gulped waiting to see who would

Open it. She watched as the women with long gray hair and a large robe stared at her. Her eyes were red and marred with angry lines. “Come in.” Was all she said as she stepped aside.

The room was decorated with small wooden ornaments and she took in the sight of a large cauldron. “I hear what happened to your people and your father. It is a great loss but now their souls will bless the land and allow for rebirth”. She said to her and she remained quiet not daring to say anything to user in response.

“I know and that is why I will not rest until I am very able to avenge her at the moment. They were wrongly taken Away from me by a monster and I have vowed that I will not rest and I will nor falter until I am sure that he is gone once and for all.” She said and she watched the woman him at her brightly as she made her way to the cauldron and stirred.

“I also wish to avenge your father. He was my friend but you should know that this path you seek to go down is dangerous and if you aren't careful you will only end up losing yourself. Don't forget where you come from and don't forget that you can always beat them by becoming stronger rather than tearing them down.” She said but Erica held no such feeling as the day she forgave him was the day her soul was torn from her body.

“I want to know where to find the council. I must speak with them. You own my father and this is what I wish to ask on his behalf”. She demanded and she watched as she stared at her intently. She raised an eyebrow after a moment before sucking in a deep breath.

“I will tell you but only on one condition and that is that when an opportunity to allow yourself to love shows items that you will let it in that you will not resist it but embrace it”. She said and she chuckled blankly.

“I already tried the mate thing and see where it got me.” She said to her in a mutter. “Well I am not one to judge. But you will get a second chance. Don't turn it down. The council you will find at the edge of the Northern capital. Where the river meets the mountain.” She said to her as her voice echoed through the room.

“Thank You.” Was all she said as she made her way to the door to leave. “Be careful. Not everything is as it seems.” Was her last warning.

Erica travelled for two days after that as she cut through the borders and no man's land. She finally reached what she thought to be the society. A large building with marble walls but she wasn't sure. As she reached out for the handle her body was thrown back as a force field surrounded it.

“What are you doing here and who are you.” A gruff voice called from behind her.
