Kate's POV

I beam with joy, my baby’s kicks a reminder of the new life growing inside me. In just two weeks, I will finally hold my little bundle of joy in my arms, surrounded by the love and support of my devoted husband.

I feel grateful for this perfect life. Finally, my sacrifice for Kyle pays off; I rejected many wealthy men for him. When my parents suggeted that I should marrry him through a contract marriage, I was all over the moon, I finally get him, the man I always wanted.

He is so devoted and trustworthy that I handed all my wealth from my career to him and put a stop on it to become his full housewife. I don’t regret it.

As I enter the kitchen, my pregnancy doesn’t slow me down. I am determined to cook a delicious meal for my husband, the love of my life.

Carefully, I place the foodstuffs on the counter, my hands cradling my belly. Suddenly, a disturbing sound pierces the air. “Yeah, baby, go deeper… deeper… faster… faster…” The moans grow louder, and my heart sinks.

I freeze, hoping I am misinterpreting what I hear. But the unmistakable sounds continue, shattering my illusions.

Pam! Pam! Pam! The sounds are all too familiar.

My mind races as I rush upstairs, my heart pounding in my chest. What is happening? The joy of my life, my loving husband, couldn’t be… no, I refuse to believe it.

The sounds of the moans and groans grow louder with each step I take. Without any time, I push the door open and my entire body immediately vibrates. My fear is confirmed. There is Kyle, groaning, bouncing and sweating on top of the lady that spread her legs High up in our matrimonial bedroom.

The room is filled with the scent of sex and lust, the sound of moans very loud, they don't care about being caught, right in my face, my entire world crumbles. They are lost in Their oblivion and don't even notice my presence.

As I watch, tears begin to feel in my eyes, my heart is burning, I feel like turning and running away. But what's for?They are the villains here.

Finally, I find my voice, low and trembling, I murmured, “Kyle?”.

Kyle's eyes snap open, and he freezes, his gaze locked on mine. He quickly pulls off the lady and covers himself with the bed sheet, his face pale with guilt.

I feel a wave of nausea wash over me as my eyes fall on the lady beneath him. My sister, Pamela! My own sister! The shock and betrayal are too much to bear. I feel like I've been punched in the gut, and I can't breathe.

"How could you, Kyle?" I manage to whisper, my voice shaking with anger and sadness. "How could you do this to me, and with my own sister?".

"Kate, what are you doing here? You're supposed to be with my mom, helping her with the party preparations. What are you doing home so early?"

I stand frozen, my mind reeling with shock and anger. How dare he try to turn this around on me? "Kyle?" I spit, my voice low and venomous. "Are you that disappointed that I ruined the fun, I shouldn't have come so you could enjoy your shameless act!"

"Kate... it's not what you think," Kyle tries to explain, but I cut him off.

"Bullshit!" I yell, "You want to defend this? Uhn?"

Pamela chimes in, her voice dripping with condescension. "Oh, Kate, don't be so dramatic. You're acting like you're his real wife, remember... you're just in a contract marriage with him."

She runs her hand over Kyle's chest, her touch lingering on his skin. "Kyle, don't bother begging her. She's not worth it. Just tell her the truth already."

I chuckle, trying to remain composed. "What?!, Pamela, I am expecting an apology from you, from you two! Just tell me it's a mistake, that you were tempted, and I will try to understand!"

Pamela scoffs, "Apologize? Ha! Like you're even worthy of an apology... maybe you should apologize for this first."

She reaches into the bag beside her and pulls out a stack of photos, thrusting them at Kyle. "Take a look at these, darling."

Kyle hesitates, but eventually takes the photos from her. As he flips through them, his expression changes from guilt to shock. "What!?" he exclaims, his eyes fixed on something in the pictures.

I step forward, anger and curiosity getting the better of me. "What the hell are you both doing, trying to gaslight me after getting caught red-handed?"

Kyle gazes at me, groaning and seething, his eyes wide open like they could come out of their sockets. "You're this bitch!" he yells, throwing the picture at me.

My brow furrows as my eyes follow the photo. Confusion sets in as I try to process what's happening. My eyes glue to the image, and when the content comes into view, I immediately pick it up, my hand scratching the floor. I spread the photos like I could tear them apart. I see it right there... it's me, on a bed, wrapping myself around an unknown man.

What is this? When did this happen? I don't know this man. How did Pamela get this? I raise my head to see her smirking back at me.
