Chapter 3

I did not bother to throw the trash and just let it fall down on the ground. The hell I care about with these trashes. Thankfully, my waitress uniform did not get dirty.

I put my uniform out and looked at it. It was a black mini skirt just two inches below my butt, which would be a hell if I leaned forward. Paired with the black tube top and high pump heels. With these kinds of

I looked myself in the mirror.

My reflection was a spitting image of my mother. I chuckled a little to myself. I looked good but I was really uncomfortable with this. I turned around to check if there was something wrong.

“Let’s go Avery! You can do this.” I tried to cheer myself up in front of the mirror and went outside the dressing room.

This night would start with a blast, I told myself. I was so different inside the bar. I swayed my hips while walking to look sexier. Smiling flirtatiously, and making eye contact with the customers while giving their drinks.

As the night went deeper and the clock hour was almost pointing at the twelve number, the people here on the first floor were starting to get wild.

“Hi! What is your name?” A guy in my age pulled me close towards him after I finished putting their ordered drinks down on their noisy table.

His friends that were with him at the table, whistled and cheered as they saw him grabbing my waist in front of them. My flirtatious smile vanished and looked at him with deadly eyes.

“It is none of your business mother f*cker.” I slapped his hands and rushed into the counter.

Ugh! My heels were killing me. I sat down to get a small break but a familiar figure caught my attention. I looked straight towards that person and I saw a lean masculine guy near the door. Even in this dark club, I saw his light brown eyes shining through the playful lights of the bar.

He stood up straight when our eyes met. He mouthed something to me and as my brain interpreted his words, I couldn't help but to grit my teeth. He turned his back and left even before I could blink.

“Avery!" a loud shout from the bartender made me turn my head to him. "This is the order for table 17.” The bartender gave me 3 mojito drinks-- a sex on the beach and a bottle of tequila.

Trying to keep my cool, I got the orders and went slowly to the assigned number table. Technically, my night was just like that.

Bringing orders to the tables, slapping the hands of the pervert customers, and even sometimes calling for the security to kick a rude and pathetic pervert man.

Padi's was just not a typical bar. At the ground or first floor was for the ordinary party goers. There's a long and wide stage in front where the DJ was above and three dancing poles were built. Most of the customers here on the first floor had no reservations and were just walk-in customers.

However, on the second floor of this big bar was where the VIP rooms were located. Most of the customers there have to pay a thousand of dollars just to get the reservation.

I looked up at the stairs that were connecting the first and second floor. It had a red ribbon and two buff security guards before a customer could even take a step on the stairs.

VIP customers have to show a black card with engraved words of Padi's on it before allowing them to go up. When I didn't see the man I was waiting to come to, I resumed my work.

Few hours passed, and the club got fuller and fuller. Sounds were deafening and people were shouting mercilessly while they were dancing in the center and on the stage. Some people in the darkest side of the floor were kissing, some were making out and the rest were dancing moving their whole body. The atmosphere was getting heavier and heavier.

The different dancing colors were blinding the eyes of all the people. Most tables that were full of men had ordered an entertainer for that night. The loud music was creating an earthquake on my shoes along with the drunkard people.

I needed to be very careful at this point because most of the customers were not in their right mind and would probably cause a lot of issues with the waitresses like me. They could bump into us, swear at us, and even push us down to the ground. I experienced all of that in just one night of working here. So, for the rest of my nights, I became aware of everything.

While the surrounding was getting more excited, a group of people entered the club. Two security guards were in front of them with their hands stretched on both sides to prevent other customers from making a contract with them.

Some of the people who noticed the presence of the group, stopped and got silent for a while.

They looked extremely rich, like extremely. They looked like someone who could buy anyone’s life in any minute they wanted to. The women were wearing champagne dresses, sexy backless silk mini dresses, high heels, full glam makeup, and slick hairstyles.

Men looked like angels that were sent from above. Their built were amazingly sculptured, outfits were on point and neat.

The chaotic club became wilder. The silent crowd became louder and I even thought that there would be a stampede as most of the girls dancing on stage started to run towards the entrance. The head of the security had to call another set of guards to protect the newly come customers.

There was so much happening. Literally so much. Immediately they entered the VIP section. The most prestigious place inside the bar.

The head of the bar shouted with panic in his voice. He called all the waiters to follow him inside the kitchen where he was fanning his hot face.

When we lined up in front of him, he immediately picked the two old waiters and the new one.

“You, you and you. Come over here. You serve them the best and the most delicious drinks in the bar, do you understand me? Do not say a word nor look at their eyes. Give your best in serving them." Lane, our boss, said all those words in just one minute.

He didn't take a break to stop talking or give his orders to the waitresses he picked. He was walking back and forth while enumerating the rules on serving the most very important persons for this night.

"Remember these girls, you should look out for Collin. The guy in the brown shirt and black pants. He is very, very cold, ruthless and rude. Don’t you try to joke him and really look after what you are doing.

Okay? Now, go! Move! Move!” he said while looking at the VIP room and rubbing his hands together.

I could feel how scared they were, especially the new waitress that got in three days ago. She's obviously panicking inside. I smirked to myself.

Our head kept on walking back and forth to make sure that everything was getting on the right way. He was extremely nervous about what would happen.

A minute passed and another. Everyone went back to normal, and fortunately, I got assigned to the next VIP room. Everything seemed going smoothly not until a thunder roar from the second floor caused an earthquake for the whole building.

“You stupid piece of shit! Your only work is to serve us and give us our drinks. Why can’t you even do that right?” It was Collin shouting and pushing the new waiter outside the room.

“Sir- I- I- I am so sorry. I do not mean it to happen. I will make it up to you.” The new waiter kneeled and sobbed in front of him.

“By what? Ha! By washing this? You can’t because this is an expensive shirt. By buying a new one? You absolutely and totally can’t. This shirt costs about a year of your hard work in this bar.” Collin’s voice echoed in the club.

Even though the sound of the bar was so loud, I could clearly understand everything he said. Every single word. What a privilege mother f*cker.

Lane immediately ran to where they were.

“Sir Collin, I am really sorry for her actions. We will try to make it up to you. The club will. You can get every drink that you want for free tonight.” Our head tried to calm him down but I thought he just got angrier by what he said.

He gave a small sarcastic laugh. “Hey!” He grabbed our boss' necktie towards him. “I can afford every single drink here. I can even buy this bar if I want to. Do not test my patience.” Collin released his forceful grab to the head.

Collin then went straight again to the kneeling waiter. “I will spare your life but you better run. You are now fired in this bar and I do not ever want to see your face. I promise that I will not let you see the sun in the next morning if I will see you again."

Another girl with a shiny short black dress grabbed his arms and tried to calm him down. Wow! This girl really was flirting while everything was a mess. What a sick one.

“Hey Collin! You should calm down. Let’s go back to the room and enjoy the night. Do not let it be ruined by some…” She looked at the waiter disgustingly before continuing her sentence. “Alms person.”

They both entered the VIP room and acted like nothing happened. The rest of the VIPs did not even care like they were so used to him being like that. I shook my head and looked at the waiter.

He stood up sobbing and ran as fast as he could in the locker. I knew how much he was embarrassed, hurt and scared.

“This is a disaster!” Lane exclaimed as he was gripping his hair. He looked at us disappointed and worried. “Then I chose some waitresses and waiters too.”

“You, you and you!” He pointed so fast.

“No Sir, I can’t. I have a regular customer in table 14.” “Sir, unfortunately, I also do…”

“A customer asked me for a…”

Everyone was too scared that they started to have so many excuses. Some were not saying a word. Some were looking down and some were avoiding eye contact.

“SHHHHHHH!” Lane shut them all up.

“If no one will be there to assist and serve them. Then this bar will be gone for good,” he said while hands on his waist.

The corner of my lips curled upwards as I heard my desperate boss. This timing was just perfect. “I will sir.” I raised my hands and his eyes darted at me.

Some looked at me with worry in their eyes. The rest were staring angrily. If looks could kill, I’ll be dead now.

Our head jumped in joy and he clapped his hands showing his satisfaction. “Very good! Now, get this and give it to them. It’s a piece offering to tell them. Okay?”

I nodded my head letting him know I understood what he meant. I got the two trays and balanced it left and right. Before entering, I let out a deep sigh.

When I was inside the room, the atmosphere was so heavy. It felt like a big mountain was growing here. I immediately went to them and put all their drinks on the table.

Everyone was busy doing their own agendas and activities. I slowly gave them each of their glasses without anyone noticing my presence.

I thought it would end with nothing, but I guessed, heaven was with me tonight.

When I lifted my head, Collin was looking at me while his hands were holding the elf glass with a half full dark liquid on it. He was playing with his drink. Sitting at the very center of the U-shaped couch with his legs wide open, screaming his territory.

At his sides were women with shiny and sexy outfits. Their cleavages were showing and the one on the left, the one he went inside with earlier, was obviously pressing her chest on Collin's arm. But the vigorous man did not even pay her attention. Because his eyes were slowly taking my souls out.

I felt how the world just slowly moved. Everything was quiet. There was no noise. Just the both of us looking straight into each other’s eyes.
