Chapter 37 - The dream

Everly POV

It’s been a couple of hours since Theo left to go pick up Agnes. I can feel in my bones that something is not right. I just don’t know what. I hate this stupid feeling. I close my eyes as soon as my head hits the pillow at the end of the couch. I am feeling so tired that I can barely keep my eyes open. I allow them to close, taking me into a deep slumber and sending me to a dream world.

“Why is she here?” I hear a woman’s voice, and I open my eyes to find a beautiful woman standing in front of me. She is wearing a fitted dress that hugs her slim body and rests over her knee. Her high heels are so high that they make her almost as tall as Theo as he stands next to her. My eyes meet his, and he doesn’t look at me.

“Hi, I’m Everly”, I say as I approach her, offering my hand to shake, but she makes a nauseated face and takes one step back. Her eyes move up and down my body while she wraps one arm aroun
