The colourful lights on the ceiling showing the palace amazingly, I stared at the modern art that was on the ceiling, if it was us it would cost a fortune, but obviously, the nobles can get away from the expense. Women were wearing long puffy dresses full of sparkles and men were wearing a long petty coat and a blouse underneath, showing their most extravagant pieces to make themselves known in this society, a society full of discrimination.

I had to stand there, looking awfully normal, while they are pouncing off to the ballroom and talk to gain an ally for their future plan. To be successful in this society and not to be a rat, we had to observe and choose the best family to succeed, to be close to the royal family you must be someone important, someone who is ranked and successful in society.
