"I could post your bail tomorrow so you'll have to stay here for just one night. Luckily Ambrose's parents have cameras in their home that would help your case. If he cooperates well and doesn't pull any more stunts then this will be over sooner than you thought," Mr. Willow said.

"Am I a bad person for not wanting my daughter to be with her real father?" Matthew asked and Mr. Willow looked at him with pity.

"No, Matthew. You're not a bad person or a bad father. You've sacrificed so much more than any other father would. He abandoned his daughter. Blood doesn't matter here anymore. I'll try my best to keep your family together. Don't worry," he said, tapping Matthew on the shoulder.

Mr. Willow was escorted out of the room and Matthew was sent back to the holding cell. He was left all alone with nothing but silence surrounding him. He was missing Ambrose terribly.
