Chapter 30

A week passed and Matthew was finally discharged from the hospital. In the week that passed, the police found out that both the nannies were involved in the kidnapping. They were sending Drake the family's schedule and were paid a hefty amount to help them go into hiding once the crime was done. Fortunately enough, the two were quickly found. They weren't exactly doing a good job of hiding.

It was also the day of the first hearing. Ambrose insisted on coming with them but Matthew refused. Now Ambrose is left at home with the kids and with his mother. Melanie has never seen Ambrose this distraught before. Despite their lawyer telling them that they have a strong case against Drake, Ambrose couldn't help but fear that Drake could still walk away from all of this scathe free.
