Mag-log inANYA’S POV
It's been three days since I was bought by Alpha Rolan and I've soon come to realise that he said I wouldn't go outside, meant every word of it. I wasn't allowed to leave the fore walls of this space. It's so bad that there are guards standing at my door 24/7 and the room that I had once loved the first night I came here has now become my beautiful prison. A prison I would give to step out of. But on the bright side, I'm well fed and I have so many new clothes that I don't think I could ever have to repeat a dress for a year. Most of the luxuries I couldn't have when I was still in the Silverfang pack are now mine for the taking but I still wanted more. And right now, more included getting to leave this damned room. The knob twisted and the door was gently pushed open but I didn't turn my gaze from the window. I already knew who it was even before he put the key into the lock. Alpha Rolan’s footsteps grew louder with each step he took towards me and the smell of his woodsy scent perfumed the air. How can one person smell so good? But I'm too angry to let my mind linger on how amazing he smells. He stopped beside me, his presence giving a warmth that made goosebumps litter across my skin. “It's beautiful isn't it?” I tipped my head to the window with my eyes still trained on the garden. The moon casted her ethereal light over the flowers giving them a beauty that tugged on the strings of my heart. “It is,” he spoke in a deep voice that didn't give a single emotion away. “It's a shame I can't go see it.” “I know what you're doing. And it wouldn't work, little girl.” Anger bubbled within me at how easily he dismissed me and for the first time since he came in, I turned to face him. Only to wish I hadn't made such a stupid mistake. I didn't realise how close we were standing till my nose brushed his chest. I tipped my head back and glared at his face. Why was he so tall anyways? His face grew smug when he noticed how difficult it was to look at him and my anger only grew. “I want to go outside.” “No.” “Why?” “Because I said so.” “That's not a good enough reason.” “It is for me.” “Well, it isn't for me.” “That's on you then.” “You have no right to keep me here.” “I have every right to keep you in this place. And do you want to know why.” His eyes grew heavy with an emotion I couldn't recognise. He took a step closer. I took a step back and just when I thought he was about to take another step closer, he grabbed me by the wrist and pulled me closer till there was no space between us. “Because I own you. I bought you from your bitch of a stepmother. I gave you clothes to wear. I gave you food to put in your belly. I took you from the slums and put you in a literal castle. I gave YOU everything you have now! So I also get to dictate when you get to go outside. And that's never.” He let go of my hand and walked to the door without sparing me a second glance. I walked closer before I fell to the bed and sobbed into the beautiful bedcovers. ~~~ My heart pounded against my ribcage and my footsteps made thuds against the ground as I ran from a creature I knew nothing about. Insects stung my skin and the smell of blood tainted the air but I didn't stop running. Until the very insects that stung me began to come from my mouth. Then the creature caught up to me. ~~~ “No!” A scream pierced the air as I perked off the bed. Labored breaths fell from my lips and my eyes landed on the sweat soaked bed covers and pillows and my hair stuck to my neck. “It's just a dream. It's just a dream,” it whispered to myself in what I can only imagine to be a soothing voice and my heart rate slowed down. “What were you dreaming about?” I screamed into the darkness and threw a pillow at the intruder, only to meet the piercing gaze of Rolan. “What are you doing here? And why are you watching me sleep?” “I'm not watching you sleep.” “So then why are you here?!” Anger and fear slipped into my voice and for a second I thought I saw his eyes softened but it was gone before It was even there and a wicked look appeared in his eyes. “I'm here to claim my mate.” What? “What are you talking about?” “You know what I'm talking about?” “I didn't ask to be claimed by you,” I pushed myself closer to the bed and drew the covers closer to my chest, hoping that maybe this was just some sick joke of his. But it wasn't. Because a devilish smirk appeared on his face and the air grew ominous. “I don't have to ask for your permission.” That was the only warning I got before he pounced on the bed and pinned me under him. “Let go of me!” His grip on my hands tightened and he began ripping at my night gown. His eyes were a bright red and tears streamed down my face. “Stop, please! I'm begging you!” He didn't stop. His free hand fondled my breasts and a scream tore through me as he assaulted my body. “Somebody help me!” No one came to help. Not the servants whose quarters were close by. Not guards who I bet stood outside, hearing him take advantage of my body without my consent and even after he left. No one could help me because they were all afraid of him. And I can't blame them. I'd be afraid of him too if I were in their place. But it doesn't stop me from hating them. But not as much as I hate him.ROLAN’S POVHer hips swayed to an invisible melody and the wind ruffled her hair making her look like the most ethereal being in the world. Scatch that she is the most ethereal woman in the world. Everything about her is heavenly. From her pale skin. To her luscious raven colored hair. To her violet eyes. Everything about her is unreal. And I will own every last piece of her. “Rolan!” Curtis yelled into my ear and I jerked in my seat, causing me to tip over the glass of water on my desk. The glass shattered against the floor and Curtis’ heated glare was still trained on me. “What the fuck do you want, Curtis?” I threw him a glare of my own, no way I'm I going to get disrespected in my own damn off even if it was by my Beta who I sometimes saw as a friend. “Oh I'm sorry. I only want to know why the Alpha was lost in a daze while his Beta was discussing a very important topic. What the hell is going on, Rolan?” “There's nothing going on.” “Don't give me that crap, Rolan. You w

ANYA'S POVThe celebration was over. It's time to go home. To Alpha Rolan’s home. A home where I would now be forced to make mine. The car ride back to Bloodfrost pack was silent other than our combined breaths and the sound of my thoughts rampaging in my head. What would my life be like in a Bloodfrost pack? Would I finally get to have peace? Is this just the calm before the storm? Would Alpha Rolan want to put his mark on me? If Rolan tried to mark me then he would die for it. Even if I don't believe a single word that Elda said about me. I can't help but have some doubts about me being cursed. I can't put his life at risk. Besides, I'm not sure I'm even ready to be someone's mate yet. But I can't risk getting killed the second I mention it. So I'll keep quiet and wait to see how this plays out. The car soon came to a halt and it was only then that I realised we'd reached our destination. I moved to open the door when Alpha Rolan grabbed my hand. Charges of electricity shot u
ANYA’S POV "Before the presence of the Alpha-king of Bloodfrost kingdom!" "Before the presence of the Alpha-king of Bloodfrost kingdom!" "Bfore the presence of the Alpha-king of Bloodfrost kingdom!" My mind raced with a million thoughts a second, my heart pounded against its bony prison and the air felt like shards of glass in my lungs, making me wish that I could just die here and now. Alpha Rolan McDrago was one of the most feared men in the country. The power in his last name alone was enough to make grown men and Alphas tremble in fear. He has started wars just for the thrill of the fight and still ended up winning those wars And now I'm to be judged in front of that same man. He might even kill Elda and me for wasting his precious time. I practically shook in his presence. My stomach formed in its wake. “Please help me, dear goddess,” I begged in my head and even when every part of my being should be telling me to screw the moon goddess because of the number
ANYA’S POV My 18th birthday… a complete and totally hilarious joke. It was a day that felt as if I’d committed a crime whenever it came. No matter what I did that day or any other, I would always be seen as a misfit… a dark curse to the entire pack. Even for something as basic and important as food, or anything resembling a normal life… which I felt I deserved… I was cruelly denied by my heartless stepmother, the now leader of Silverfang pack. “Anya! Anya!” her powerful voice boomed against the walls. My heart pounded against my ribs and a familiar feeling of dread sat in the marrow of my bones while goosebumps clawed its way across my skin. I'd recognize that voice anywhere in the world. Even if my body was long buried. “Dear, goddess,” I begged in a whisper that brushed over the flames of the candle in front of me. My hands shook as I blew out the flame, believing… hoping that my plea for life beyond this torment and pain be fulfilled. But I should have known that
