Mag-log inANYA’S POV
"Before the presence of the Alpha-king of Bloodfrost kingdom!" "Before the presence of the Alpha-king of Bloodfrost kingdom!" "Bfore the presence of the Alpha-king of Bloodfrost kingdom!" My mind raced with a million thoughts a second, my heart pounded against its bony prison and the air felt like shards of glass in my lungs, making me wish that I could just die here and now. Alpha Rolan McDrago was one of the most feared men in the country. The power in his last name alone was enough to make grown men and Alphas tremble in fear. He has started wars just for the thrill of the fight and still ended up winning those wars And now I'm to be judged in front of that same man. He might even kill Elda and me for wasting his precious time. I practically shook in his presence. My stomach formed in its wake. “Please help me, dear goddess,” I begged in my head and even when every part of my being should be telling me to screw the moon goddess because of the number of times she's never come through for me. Praying to her is the only form of defense I have. “You will be banished from this pack and the Bloodfrost pack as well. Such a thriving pack doesn't need a creature like you to tarnish her reputation.” I bent my head lower, hoping to make my presence smaller than it already was if that was even humanly or supernaturally possible. “Look at me.” The field fell impossibly silent. So silent you could hear the dead turning in their graves. So Silent that the heartbeat of nocturnal animals could be heard. “I said look at me, little girl.” I slowly lifted my head till my gaze collided with his and a breath left my mouth at the sight of the man before me. The sight of the god before me. A mop of dark brown hair, a chiseled jawline, high cheek bones and the most stunning, intense pair of blue eyes made most of the features of the most beautiful man I've ever seen in my life. But it wasn't just his beauty that shook me to the core. It was the voice that spoke in my head and the word it uttered. “Mate!" All of a sudden, it wasn't just his beauty that shook me to the core anymore. But also the voice that spoke the word in my head. My heart sank to the pit of my stomach and I caught his eyes. Of all the people the moon goddess could have cursed me to, she chose the most merciless of all Alphas, Rolan McDrago, the Lycan-king of Bloodfrost kingdom. His eyes widened the longer he stared at me but his surprise only lasted a second before he turned away from me, disdain clearly written on his features. Pain ran through my chest at his harsh and obvious rejection but that pain was short-lived when someone fisted my hair and pulled on my scalp till my head throbbed. “Release her.” a voice echoed through the field in a deadly tone. The guards released me like I had a disease and all eyes turned to Alpha Rolan as he stood to his feet and made his way towards with slow, menacing steps. He stopped before me. His face a mask of indifferent before lowered himself still he held my gaze and tipped my chin. “What a beautiful girl,” A shiver ran up my spine and my cheeks grew hot with embarrassment. No one has ever called me beautiful or anything remotely close to a compliment. He broke eye contact with me and stared directly at Elda with a hard expression on his face. “How much?” “I don't understand what you…” “How much do I have to lay to buy her from you.” Gasps cut through the silence and no one can actually blame them for being shocked out of their minds by what he said. Because who would want to buy a random girl who was about to be banished for being a witch. “She…she's not for sale.” “I see. 50,000 then.” “She's not for…” “100,000.” “Alpha Rolan, I—” “500,000.” “Stop!” A pregnant silence moved past us and the air thickened with tension as the two Alphas had the showdown of eyes. “Why do you want her so much?” Elda Sked in a tired voice. Alpha Rolan turned his eyes to me and for a second, I saw an emotion I could almost recognise but didn't have the chance to because his mask was up again then he turned back to Elda. “Because she's my mate and I love her eyes.” My mind ignored the part where he called me his mate in front of both our packs and focused on the second compliment he's given in a few minutes and the highest number of compliments I've gotten in years. My cheeks grew hotter and I almost used my hands to cover my face when he gave a small smirk. “Very well,” Elda agreed to his trade and nodded her head before she walked gracefully to her throne and sat like the proud, confident ruler she was. “She's now yours. I no longer have any responsibility to her. If she makes your life hell and you want to return her back then I wouldn't accept her. You can just leave her in a bush or something,” peals of laughter exploded and the shame I felt held a vice grip on my dignity. I didn't know what hurt me most the fact that my evil step mother made me a laughing stock. The fact that other people laughed or that not once did my mate do anything to defend me. Alpha Rolan remained silent in front of me. His hands stayed by his sides before he squared till we were on the same eye level. He leaned into to me and whispered in my ear. “You're mine now.” Three words. One sentence. It wasn't much to most people but it was more than enough to cause shivers to crawl up my spine. He gave me that smirk again then stood to his full height–goddess, he's so tall– and walked back to his throne while I remained still on my knees, now waiting for my new master to call it a night and take me to his home. He called me his mate. But if he claimed me, we'd both die for it.ROLAN’S POVHer hips swayed to an invisible melody and the wind ruffled her hair making her look like the most ethereal being in the world. Scatch that she is the most ethereal woman in the world. Everything about her is heavenly. From her pale skin. To her luscious raven colored hair. To her violet eyes. Everything about her is unreal. And I will own every last piece of her. “Rolan!” Curtis yelled into my ear and I jerked in my seat, causing me to tip over the glass of water on my desk. The glass shattered against the floor and Curtis’ heated glare was still trained on me. “What the fuck do you want, Curtis?” I threw him a glare of my own, no way I'm I going to get disrespected in my own damn off even if it was by my Beta who I sometimes saw as a friend. “Oh I'm sorry. I only want to know why the Alpha was lost in a daze while his Beta was discussing a very important topic. What the hell is going on, Rolan?” “There's nothing going on.” “Don't give me that crap, Rolan. You w
ANYA’S POVIt's been three days since I was bought by Alpha Rolan and I've soon come to realise that he said I wouldn't go outside, meant every word of it. I wasn't allowed to leave the fore walls of this space. It's so bad that there are guards standing at my door 24/7 and the room that I had once loved the first night I came here has now become my beautiful prison. A prison I would give to step out of. But on the bright side, I'm well fed and I have so many new clothes that I don't think I could ever have to repeat a dress for a year. Most of the luxuries I couldn't have when I was still in the Silverfang pack are now mine for the taking but I still wanted more. And right now, more included getting to leave this damned room. The knob twisted and the door was gently pushed open but I didn't turn my gaze from the window. I already knew who it was even before he put the key into the lock.Alpha Rolan’s footsteps grew louder with each step he took towards me and the smell of his wood
ANYA'S POVThe celebration was over. It's time to go home. To Alpha Rolan’s home. A home where I would now be forced to make mine. The car ride back to Bloodfrost pack was silent other than our combined breaths and the sound of my thoughts rampaging in my head. What would my life be like in a Bloodfrost pack? Would I finally get to have peace? Is this just the calm before the storm? Would Alpha Rolan want to put his mark on me? If Rolan tried to mark me then he would die for it. Even if I don't believe a single word that Elda said about me. I can't help but have some doubts about me being cursed. I can't put his life at risk. Besides, I'm not sure I'm even ready to be someone's mate yet. But I can't risk getting killed the second I mention it. So I'll keep quiet and wait to see how this plays out. The car soon came to a halt and it was only then that I realised we'd reached our destination. I moved to open the door when Alpha Rolan grabbed my hand. Charges of electricity shot u

ANYA’S POV My 18th birthday… a complete and totally hilarious joke. It was a day that felt as if I’d committed a crime whenever it came. No matter what I did that day or any other, I would always be seen as a misfit… a dark curse to the entire pack. Even for something as basic and important as food, or anything resembling a normal life… which I felt I deserved… I was cruelly denied by my heartless stepmother, the now leader of Silverfang pack. “Anya! Anya!” her powerful voice boomed against the walls. My heart pounded against my ribs and a familiar feeling of dread sat in the marrow of my bones while goosebumps clawed its way across my skin. I'd recognize that voice anywhere in the world. Even if my body was long buried. “Dear, goddess,” I begged in a whisper that brushed over the flames of the candle in front of me. My hands shook as I blew out the flame, believing… hoping that my plea for life beyond this torment and pain be fulfilled. But I should have known that
