...Ryker POV...
I'm in the conference room of the infamous 'Seven Seas Resort & Casino'. I've been working on this deal for so long, that I can't even remember when we first started it. We've been working towards a partnership for so long now. By gaining this deal, we will be able to expand the Scorpion's reach. Right now, our reach is only as far as the US, primarily in the city of Cortina. With this deal, we would have a global reach, crossing all seven seas.
The only thing preventing this deal from going forward is the asshole himself Daniel Price. Daniel is the CEO of the Seven Seas empire. He knows the reputation of the Scorpions, and has been drawing this deal out longer than necessary. He feels as though he can control us. However, the Scorpions will never get backed into a corner like a scared mouse. Rather we're the lion that attacks. I'm done with being pushed around. It's been two days since we found out that Ryker was kidnapped. I've barely left my room in that time. I just continue to pace throughout my room, dreading the unknown. Not knowing whether Ryker is alive or dead, has my nerves twisted in a knot. It drives me insane to think that Craig has my brother. I worry about what they're doing to him. ...Xavier POV...Ever since Lexi and I were kidnapped my men have been on high alert. None of that should've even happened. I was furious with my men at first. How could they have let this happen? I was furious, but knew nothing would come out of dwelling on the past. Instead we needed to figure out everything that went wrong. I decided to meet with my men at my office so that we could go over everything that happened."We need to start from the beginning. We make our way downtown. To my old stomping grounds. I know this city better than anyone. When we get to the first store I want, I stop the car on the side of the street."Where exactly are we?" Jax says. I can feel his discomfort. I can tell he's never been to this side of town. Which is perfect, because it will make my plan that much easier to execute."Oh, I just felt a bit thirsty, so wanted to grab a drink first. Do you want anything?" ...Jax POV...When I caught Lexi trying to leave earlier, I knew something was up. Ever since Ryker was taken, she's become a shell of herself. She hasn't even rested or ate anything ever since her and Xavier returned from wherever they were captured. The only time she's rested is when she's passed out. I wake up, my head spinning. I feel slightly nauseous. I close my eyes, trying to stabilize myself. I focus on my breathing, and then the feeling around me. I turn to face him, and smile."Nothing. It must've just been a bad dream. Where are you off to?"
