57. Traitor
...Xavier POV...
Ever since Lexi and I were kidnapped my men have been on high alert. None of that should've even happened. I was furious with my men at first. How could they have let this happen? I was furious, but knew nothing would come out of dwelling on the past. Instead we needed to figure out everything that went wrong. I decided to meet with my men at my office so that we could go over everything that happened.
"We need to start from the beginning. The more we can tackle this problem, the quicker I'll be at ease knowing this shit could never happen again." I say, addressing my men.
"Damian. I need to start with you. How come you weren't able to find us using Lexi's tracker?" I ask him, focusing my attention on him.
"My guess is they anticipated that we would keep tabs on her in some way or another. I think they knew there was a tracker on her, but not sure as to where. Which is why they removed your clothes. We used a really good tracker, however

We make our way downtown. To my old stomping grounds. I know this city better than anyone. When we get to the first store I want, I stop the car on the side of the street."Where exactly are we?" Jax says. I can feel his discomfort. I can tell he's never been to this side of town. ...Jax POV...When I caught Lexi trying to leave earlier, I knew something was up. Ever since Ryker was taken, she's become a shell of herself. She hasn't even rested or ate anything ever since her and Xavier returned from wherever they were captured. The only time she's rested is when she's passed out. I wake up, my head spinning. I feel slightly nauseous. I close my eyes, trying to stabilize myself. I focus on my breathing, and then the feeling around me. I must be chained, I open my eyes looking around. As I figured, I'm chained to a chair, my arms handcuffed behind me. I wake suddenly, not knowing how long I've been passed out for. I feel a sting in my leg, and realize that they must've injected me with something."What did you do to me?" "Lexi?" I hear someone call out to me."Lexi?" The voice repeats.I feel groggy, as I slowly wake myself up."Lexi?" I hear the familiar voice call out once more."Xavier?" I say stunned.When I open my eyes, I turn to see Xavier exiting the closet as he finishes getting ready for work. I sit up, trying to get my bearings."What's going on?" I ask.I watch as Xavier turns to face me, taking slow strides in my direction."What do you mean what's going on?" He inquires.I try to figure out what's going on, but it's like my mind is blank. I have no recollection of anything that's happened. Something feels wrong, but I have no idea what. I shake my head, as if ridding my mind of the dark thoughts. I turn to face him, and smile."Nothing. It must've just been a bad dream. Where are you off to?" I ask."Well it must've been some dream, because we're going to be late if we don't leave in the next ten minutes

I feel the sun warming me up as I begin to wake up. I turn over to see Xavier resting next to me. I smile as I watch him sleep peacefully. I reach upwards, and place a gentle kiss on his cheek. I lower myself back on the bed to rest my head along his smooth chest. I relax as I listen to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat. A few moments later, I head to our closet to get changed. Just as I'm leaving the closet, I feel firm hands wrap around my waist. I smile as Xavier twists me around so that I'm looking up at him. He places a passionate kiss on my lips, taking my breath away."Almost ready to go?" He asks, pulling away from me slightly."Yes. I'll be ready to leave in ten minutes. I just want to grab a quick breakfast first."Xavier simply nods, as he heads into the closet to get changed. After I've had my breakfast, I make my way to Xavier's waiting car. ...Xavier POV...It's been just over two weeks since I last saw Lexi. My heart crumbles just at the thought. I haven't been able to concentrate on anything since she left. I'm mainly upset with myself. I should've seen this coming. Lexi has, and always will be a caring person. She puts the world first before herself. She has always been selfless like that. I should've been there for her. If I was with her, this never would've happened. But I was selfish and went to work that day instead.
