Chapter 57 Ian/Azrael

Third Person's POV

Ian couldn't imagine how much worse that would have felt if Silas would have finished saying the rejection. Just hearing him get to the part where he said "I reject you," not only shocked him, it also broke his heart when he realized he was going to follow through with it.

But it was more than just those two things, once he said I reject you, the pain kicked in. Not only was his heart breaking as he watched and heard the words come from his mate's mouth, that would forever separate them, he now felt the excruciating pain as if his heart was being ripped apart. It was the pain that comes with the bond being removed from your soul. But all Ian felt at that point was just the tug, as the bond prepared to separate once the ritual was complete.

Ian laid in bed crying until he finally fell asleep.
