Aurelia/Riya

“What?”

She nodded with more tears streaming down her eyes, she looked so hopeless, her red puffy and pale face made her look more pitiful.

I've heard the stories, at first from Susan then from the older women in the pack. Aiden's worst enemy are his step siblings, he has whosoever has a thing with them or ever got in contact with them after they sent them out of the pack.

He cuts them off and forbids their name from being mentioned in the pack. He made sure everything connected to them were burnt down and their ashes were spread across the borders.

The hatred runs deep, even deeper than the ocean but here I am sitting with Silver, my sister who finally found her mate after years of searching and hoping but he turns out to be her Alpha’s enemy.

An Alpha's enemy is also the pack's enemy and the pack's enemy is also every pack member's enemy.

AureliaI don't care if he or anyone finds out about my hair or not. Not her making me feel stupid, It took everything in me not to blurt it out to them. Silver made me look stupid right there and that's not acceptable to me. I'm not going to stand here and be ridiculed. I lay on my bed and plot my next move, I've spent a little over three full moons here and I have nothing to show for it. I feel stupid at my little to no progress. I need to be right where I had envisioned myself, right where Aurelia had pictured herself. No. Not Aurelia, the only picture and dream she had was to be the only one Aiden wants and I don't think that would work. Not only because I can't stand his ass but I can't stand him as a whole not to talk of him as my partner. He'll never be more than Aurelia’s Mate to me. “Is she asleep?”I heard Silver asking Susan if I was asleep, I'm so mad at her that I don't want to see her anywhere close to me. “Does she look very angry when she came back?” Glad to

  • Riya's Rebirth   The truth

Aurelia/RiyaI was the one who got in trouble, yet Silver was the one panicking. I understood there would be consequences, maybe evenpunishment— but she was acting like it was the end of the world, making it seem more dramatic than it was.“You can cover up with this, or maybe this one,” she said.Silver had Susan bring out almost my entire closet, searching for outfits with scarves that could cover my head. I wasn’t interested in any of them.I sat at the edge of the bed, watching her and Susan shuffle through clothes, pulling one out and tossing it aside. She was going crazy. Most of them are outfits I never thought I had, this was my first time seeing them. My hand trailed them, the silk materials soften under my palm. I'm definitely wear one of these, this week. It hadn’t just been minutes, it had been hours. Hours of torture, of watching her pick an outfit, call it perfect, then reject it. She was driving herself mad, and I wasn’t interfering.“This is it!” she cried, holding u

Aidan's POV“What have you done?!”The words left my mouth before I could even announce my presence.I was informed yesterday that Aurelia wasn't feeling well. I intentionally didn't make any attempt to see her.It was probably one of her old crises returning. Some things you never fully outgrow. I had told myself that when I got the news.I couldn’t sleep all night because Kharl refused to rest. He was pacing in my head and disrupting my sleep for no particular reason.I got up as early as I could, putting on my training kit as I walked into the training field to ease myself a bit and train out my frustration.Yesterday was an off day for all the soldiers, to relax, make merry, and be with their families. But nothing could have prepared me for the sight in front of me when I arrived that morning.First, it was the glass of alcohol and the smell that reeked across the field. It looked like they had a blast yesterday, no doubt, but the deeper I walked in, the more disgusted I felt.I s

Aurelia/Riya’s POV“Let me go!”The whispers kept me up all night. I tossed and turned until I could finally feel my body move again. When I woke up later that night, I was alone in the room. My heart raced, and sweat broke across my face. My body trembled as a cold shiver traveled down my spine.I watched the white curtains float as a breeze blew in. The room had grown colder—not suddenly, but gradually in a way that was hard to understand.“Let me go!”The wind rushed in harder this time, making the curtains flap loudly. That same tiny yet bold voice came again for the third time. This time, it was pleading, low and filled with sadness.“Please let me go.”“I’m not holding you,” I stammered. “I don’t even know who you are… or why I can hear your voice in my head.”My eyes scanned the room as I pushed myself into a sitting position. Every hair on my body stood on end, goosebumps covering my skin in a fresh layer.“The hair. Let the hair go, and we’ll both be free.”“The… air? I didn’

  • Riya's Rebirth   Chapter 34: Hair

Aurelius PovSomething just didn't sit right with me, every fiber of me felt heavy like I was carrying a weight that doesn't belong to me. Like more load has been dumped on my shoulders and its weight is killing me. I woke up to back pains every morning and my waist and joints were not sitting back. It's more like I was experiencing the chronicles of old age where all parts of my body had given up on me and I was only hanging by a thread. “You look tense and your shoulders are stiff, am I doing anything wrong?” The maid asked, “What? Noo, you didn't do anything wrong”“Are you sure?” The older maid chipped in, “it's okay if you feel she's not doing it right”She walked closer into the sauna space, I saw her rubbed oil on her palm from the corner of my eyes.I came down here for a release but it looks like more bricks and burden were dumped on me. Her palm pressed deep into my flesh as she tried to help me soften the knot under my skin on my shoulders but nothing. I felt her finger
