Chapter XXIV: The Ember of Hope Returns
Hope will never perish as long as you believe.
After his successful encounter with the head of all humanoids, Dr. Smith was given the antidote that would be the cure to save the entire human race. During his stay in the humanoids’ world, his passion for medicine was further ignited because of everything that he experienced. As a result, Dr. Smith recuperated and was able to formulate and strategize an efficient and effective way to reproduce the antidote for the people of Earth. The only remaining thing that he needs to accomplish is to get back home and realize his mission – to save humanity.
Dr. Smith’s stay lasted for about a month already and he still needs to go back home. The outside of the laboratory is full of a flock of people, screaming in joy and dancing and jumping happily. Finally, they are cured. After everything that happened, an absolute hero finally appeared to end their suffering. Dr. Smith stared at the crowd, tears starts forming at the side of his eyes. He felt that something heavy has been lifted from his chest. He can't help but smile as he navigates his eyes to the people in front of him. Sarah and Grace, together with the Scientist, roam and explore the vast science complex. It was full of laboratory apparatuses that are not sure if they are still working or not. Curtains and chairs were both covered in thick dust. The room was dirty, but it had electric power. It must have been solar power. It is unlikely that the humanoids did not find the place useful for them. They are in the middle of the room, and up above is an open view of the clear sky. Grace looked up and wondered, "what is happening above us? Is there someone that got there already?"
