CHAPTER 16

“I’m here to ask you for a lunch date.” My eyes widened and I couldn't believe what I heard.

He’s asking me for a lunch date. A date!

“A date . . .?” I asked him softly, still in disbelief.

“Yes,” he smiled and pulled my arm closer to him as if we’re not that close to each other now.

“I should be the one to ask you that. Because I’m free the whole afternoon so . . .” he looked at me with the same expression I have.
