The Mafia's Sweetest Obsession

Inside the doctor's office, a young looking lady sat down with her hands tightly clenched together. She was sweating profusely that one will think that she’s scared of getting an injection from the doctor, or that she’s anticipating news from the doctor about a specific illness.

No!

It has nothing to do with any of that, but simply because she was at the stage of her life where she will have to make a big decision that will change her life entirely.

She’s carrying the baby of the most dangerous mafia taunting the entire city of New York!

And right now her fate is in his hands.

Eva’s whole body kept on shaking, because deep down she already knows what the outcome of the test result will be, though a little bit of her still wishes the result comes out negative.

Looking back from the wide open office door, where lots of guards kept an eye on her just as they were instructed by the devil of course, so escaping wasn’t in any part of her plans.

It took almost forever for the doctor to walk back to his office with an envelope probably containing the test result.

Eva could feel her head spinning already, she was so nervous that she wasn’t thinking straight anymore.

She wanted to play smart by taking the envelope from the doctor, when she heard footsteps behind her as the doctor’s office door was shut closed, she froze!

She could not even move an inch from the chair nor did she attempt turning to check who it was, but then she sensed this familiar scent and it belonged to Theo.

Eva quickly calmed her racing heartbeat before turning to face him, she could see how worried and scared he was. His expression said it all.

Theo looked down at Eva, but not for long because he could not even give her any reassuring smile or nod like he used to due to the fact that the situation at hand was worse and more complicated than what it used to be.

 Theo looked away almost immediately, he knew that this wasn’t the time to make eye contact knowing that Lucy’s life would be in danger any minute from now depending on what those papers the doctor was holding says.

“What does the test result say?” Theo asked the doctor coldly, expecting an immediate response from him. He didn’t have any more patience to exercise.

The doctor didn’t want to be the one to say anything, reason being that he knows the kind of people he's dealing with, so he won’t want to be involved in any of their mess. He was just trying to do his job so he handed over the envelope to Theo to read for himself.

Theo immediately tore the envelope, and brought out the white paper in it and just like he predicted Eva is pregnant.

 

“Fuck!!!” He cursed.

He looked up glaring at the doctor with so much anger as if he was the one responsible for Lucy’s pregnancy.

“Theo..,” Lucy called with a shaky voice, she already knew the answer she was looking for with the way Theo reacted to whatever was written down on those papers but she still wanted to confirm.

Which Theo only nodded.

She felt some warm liquid touching her cheeks, tears she has been fighting all these while to hold back.

The few minutes she had been sitting at the doctor's office, she was trying to think and figure out what to do next because there was nothing anyone could do right now, not even Theo to save her from the madness of his brother, who unfortunately is the father of her child.

“I’m scared, Theo. What will I do? He’s going to kill my baby.”Eva cried.

She doesn't need anyone to tell her what Eric will do, once he sees that it’s been confirmed by the doctor and not her taking a test stripe to figure if she’s pregnant or not.

Even without going to the doctors, he already threatened to kill his own baby. That’s to see how insane he was, and heartless towards his own child that is innocent from all these.

“Calm down Eva. We will figure things out. As long as I am here, he can’t do anything stupid.” Theo assured her, but it wasn’t enough.

She has seen Eric kill a lot of people, including his own men so it’s not going to make any difference if he kills Theo, if he tries to get in between his business because he’s the devil! He has no soul!

“But…Theo what if…”Evs was still trying to complete what she was saying when the doctor’s office door was opened.

Eric walked into the office with four of his mens following behind him.

He didn’t bother acknowledging anyone’s presence including that of his brother, as he faced Eva staring at her not minding that she was already too scared.

“What does it say?” Eric asked arrogantly, not really concerned.

Lucy gently took the piece of paper containing the result from Theo, with shaky hands and was still about to open it wide when Eric snatched it out from her hands.

He didn’t have time to waste in such an irrelevant situation.

He smirked evilly seeing what the test result says, he looked up at the doctor who was obviously scared with his presence.

“Get rid of that thing” Eric said in a few words pointing at Lucy’s tummy, he didn’t have to make any long statement to make sure the doctor understands him.

“What!!” Both Theo and Lucy shouted in disbelief.

“Eric, you would do no such thing” Theo growled out of anger.

Eric looked at his brother, he always knew that he had a thing for Lucy but becoming this stupid was something he did not see coming.

However he overlooked his brother, and stared back at the doctor that was still standing there like a statue confused on what exactly to do.

Eric got so pissed as he brought out his gun, immediately pointed it at the doctor and without hesitation he pulled the trigger.

He won’t tolerate any form of disobedience from anyone, not even his brother.

Lucy got more frightened,seeing the doctor drop dead right in front of her with so much blood gulping out from the shot area, and it made her think, even in the midst of her tears, what her fate would be.

“Eric!!!!” Theo thundered his name trying to get physical with him when Eric’s bodyguards held him down.

All Theo’s struggle to break free from the guards were in vain, because he was held so tight that there was nothing he could do at that moment; rather he kept on yelling and calling Eric’s names.

Everyone was terrified and scared aside fromTheo.

“Who the fuck is in charge here, come and get rid of this thing.” Eric yelled, this time pointing the gun at no one in particular.

Eric had no more patience to exercise waiting for the goddamn doctor to come attend to them.

But after waiting for some minutes, and seeing that no one was willing to come forward and do something about Eva's predicament he decided to take matters into his own hands just like he always does.

“If no one is going to take this thing out of you, then I guess I have to do it my way,” Eric said, pointing the gun right at Lucy’s tummy.
