『 See you later :D 』

After reading the text I received from Xia, I felt a bit nervous since this feels like my first time on a date. The last time I dated someone when I was a senior highschool student. It feels such a long time since then.

"Ugh, act cool Yuji." I told myself while waiting for Xia.

And it's not like I should be nervous for anything today, I'll just be going on a date with Xia. Shouldn't that be a fun thing?

"…Yuji?" A familiar voice spoke.

Then there I saw Hino, along with Toma, Noru and the rest of their friends. It was nostalgic seeing them altogether, but I realized that I was never a part of their circle because I was always just considered as someone who only tagged along with Toma.

"Oh, hey." I greeted. Some of them asked how I've been, and why I haven't been hanging out with them lately. Then my bestfriend who was being quiet began to speak as well.

"What are you doing here dude?" Toma asked.

"I'm just waiting for someone."

"Wouldn't it be better if you just admit you were waiting for your girlfriend?" Noru spilled what I've been avoiding. Most of them had a surprised face on, and Toma who just learned about it was shocked the most.

"Lucky! Does your girlfriend have any cute friends?"

"Dang, I thought you would never get one. Congrats man!"

"I'm jealous, I wish I had a girlfriend too."

Then Toma came to me and shakes me on my shoulder. "Dude!! What the heck, why didn't you tell me!?"

…it was ridiculous and immature of me when I suddenly realize how I felt about Toma.

'Bitter.'

"Ugh, can you quit shaking me." I shot glare at him for a split second.

He felt the hostility and immediately backs off. "Oh I'm sorry." Then he chuckles for a little bit. "You're still grumpy as always."

"Well, anybody will get mad for getting shaken like that."

An awkward silence immersed on the atmosphere.

Then Hino who couldn't take it, talked with the other guys about a different topic to distract the group. Toma then started to apologize some more. "I'm really sorry about that, I was just curious how you got a girlfriend…" he places his hands on his neck, it was his manner whenever he felt guilty.

"I thought you'd tell me about it." He added.

I snorted at the back of my head. My lips twisted as I said, "Why would I? You never even told me about Cami in the first place, so I thought this would be fair."

His face turned blank from what I said. Staring at me for a few seconds, he turned away with a response. "I see… I understand."

"It's fine." I told him.

"Well then, we'll be going now. Have fun with your girlfriend." He said and finally left with his friends. But before they disappear from my sight, I noticed how Noru was looking at me with his annoying smirk again.

My eyebrows furrowed at him. He's such an unlikeable creature.

"…Yuji! I'm here." It was good timing that Xia arrived. My foul mood decreased, and her appearance amazed me. "You look really pretty today." I said.

She smiles brightly along with her cheeks turning slightly pink. "Thanks." After that, we started our very first date.
