The Roots of Causation

Every day was so similar. Every day was the same. Every day I loved what and whom I couldn't have. I adored the emotions that I could not feel but, Oh, the love that shall last forever, have yourself my blessings for I may never conquer the true definition of love.

"Why did you kill my father?!, yelled King Louis. Hands slammed onto the elite and fancy table that had separated the two from ripping one another’s throats out.

With slow, steady, and agitating steps, king Jordan fixed his tux and walked over to the chimney lit up with fire, and after admiring the designs and architecture of his own castle as if he had never seen it before which had caused Louis to Boil in anger as he anticipated for his reply.

Both the crown-headed men were fuming in anger as Louis wanted the reason for Jordan to kill his father.

"Well, you know Louis, several people saw your father carrying wine with him walking over to the room of my father just an hour before he died, but do you know that the wine was poisoned?"

With each word dripping with poisonous sarcasm, Jordan stood back at his designated place beside the table as Louis shook his head completely denying himself to believe Jordan.

Both were at fault. Louis wasn't seeing the visible shreds of evidence displayed before him about his father's fatal deeds. Jordan never gave a good reasoning for the actions he had committed, which had angered Louis tremendously.

Their gazes were piercing enough to make each other fall weak because of it.

The dissolving candle mirrored the souls who had witnessed this abominable scene. As the dusk fell rapidly, both the leaders burnt holes in each other’s heads.

With a small chuckle filled to the brim with mockery, Louis had declared war between both kingdoms shocking King Jordan vastly.

The slow swish of the wind had made the candle no longer give light to which Louis bid his goodbyes in a menacing tone of voice before leaving the gates of the castle.

Both of their kingdoms had friendships with no walls separating them.

Before king Louis, his father, Kelvin, the previous king of Caldorus started to build a friendship between his kingdom and the other known as Dajoah. The friendship between the two was started for a selfish matter as Kelvin wanted to get closer to the kingdom of Dajoah so if they ever got in trouble, Dajoah would help them overcome it.

The whole plan seemed to be fine until Kelvin had killed Jordan's father, Johnathan, which Louis failed to believe in.

The facts were displayed but Louis did not even budge to analyze them. His father had always loved and cherished his son, but he was getting old and so was Louis so Kelvin sacrificed his dreams of sitting on the throne till his last breath, for his beloved son.

The preparation for the war was terrifying.

The knights and warriors were unquestionably loyal but to prove loyalty, it takes quite a while to do so, and eventually, as time passed by, all the older warriors and knights had families that they needed to love and cherish, and now this process was also frightening for them, though-- the king stood tall, not even realizing that he could put many innocent children under the names of having no father or even grandparent.

The war had finally taken place.

As the heavy sounds of cannonade were the only thing people heard from the outskirts of the kingdom, they moved to the inner kingdom completely abandoning their homes which was a plus point for their opposing partners.

As the war spread to the insides of both the kingdoms by their opposing partners, cannons were thrown at the small towns and cities endangering many people, but that was when both the kings started to realize their grave mistake and the war came to an end without any winners.

Caldorus was gravely affected while Dajoah only had the outskirts of the kingdom be affected as the insides of the kingdom were safe.

It took a decade for Dajoah to heal from the great misery as Caldorus was still healing.

When the war had ended, the king of Caldorus decided to enforce a law to kill anyone they sighted from Dajoah as it could be anyone, children or adults. The same law was in Dajoah.

Anyone, even a mere child could figure out the uncontrollable amount of hatred and tension between the two.

At the time when Caldorus was still healing, the most beautiful and frail being was born in the castle of Caldorus whose name was Arah.

No one outside of the castle had even the mere sight of their new beautiful princess as it was so intoxicating that anyone could be hypnotized by her beauty. No one saw her but all they heard were the descriptions of her beauty which had already made melted them.

This news was exciting since the great pain and misery that the kingdom had gone through and made the kingdom young again. From fairs to carnivals--all for the little princess that was born.

Half a decade before Arah, a prince was born in Dajoah named Darrin. He sure was something as Jordan hadn't let anyone except the nobles of the kingdom because of the trust issues that Jordan had with people coming closer to his beloved son.

Arah grew up to be the friendliest and most beautiful of people inside the castle. She was never shy but was adventurous and outgoing. She was brave and risky. Strong yet fragile. Every day she woke up with the strong walls of hope protecting her from the negativity that everything and everyone around emits.

Darrin grew up to be the bravest in their castle. An adventurous and vigorous man. Brave and astute. Strong and someone who stood tall in every situation. Darrin was someone who had always made his parents feel proud.

But fate one day had twisted itself. Our elders always say that fate had always repeated itself. Now, let us see how fate repeats itself yet again.
