SEVEN: A spy

LUCIA'S POV

I turned once more towards the entrance before facing my friends.

"Lucia why do you keep looking at the entrance? What's with you girl?" Katie complained for the umpteenth time.

"I really don't understand what's going on with you. We know you are up to something but you've been so secretive since we came here. Tell us please what's going on." Penny pleaded. I smirked and was about to answer but I was interrupted by the little whispers and gushing sounds of students. We simultaneously turned to the entrance and behold, the best view ever. The idols walked into the cafeteria. My friends were so surprised but I wasn't since I've been expecting this all afternoon.

"Now this is what's going on." I said dreamily. They turned to me in shock.

"You knew about this? But how?" Katie quizzed.

"That's why you insisted on eating here right?" Penny added.

"OMG! Somebody wake me up." Katie gushed feigning faint. I grinned at their reactions. I watch the idols walk over to the counter.

"I had someone monitor Daniel's activities for me." I said simply with a satisfactory smirk.

FLASHBACK

I watch from my sitting position as Wayne walked into my study.

"You sent for me Ms. Lucia." he said lowly. I drop the book in my hand on the desk. He's one of dad's bodyguards.

"Yes Wayne, I have a task for you."

"At your service Ms. Lucia." He bowed slightly. The guards call me Ms. Lucia while the maids and the other house workers call me Ma'am or Ma'am Lucia. Mind you, it's my decision.

"I want you to go to Royalty Dormitory as a fake janitor. You must watch and notify me always on Daniel Robert and his friends activities. On no account must you be caught by them. Understood?"

"Yes Ms." he bowed.

"I want updates on their every activities especially Daniel's. Their movements also. I have spoken to the matron already. You won't find it difficult accessing their room since you've been assigned as their private Janitor. Your duty starts Immediately. You may leave." I said

"Yes Ms. Lucia." He bowed and left.

I reclined on the chair.

NARRATIVE

Wayne pushed the cart containing his cleaning equipments, stealthily. Soon he was standing just at the door of the idols room. He adjusted his face cap and the janitor jumpsuit he was putting on. Just as his Boss' daughter had said, he found it easy locating the idols room. Royalty Dormitory was indeed the neatest, best equipped and most expensive dormitory in the whole campus. The dorm also had security gadgets, soundproofed rooms and doorbells. Wayne rang the doorbell and exhailed deeply. He had better be successful with his purpose here to avoid Ms. Lucia skinning him alive. He noticed that someone peer through the peep-hole. The door opened slightly, revealing a tall blonde-haired, handsome Asian looking guy. He had lovely chestnut brown eyes, small lips and well structured jawline. Each of his ears bore gold earrings and he had the look of a bad boy musician. Wayne stood speechless as he beheld the Asian-American idol before him. He needed no one to tell him who it is. Lee Jung Walter Walker, popularly known as JAY top American and Asian musician and model. Whose father, Rayner Walker owns one of the most successful modeling agency in America.

Although Wayne himself was a huge fan, having seen most of his music video and listened to his songs and follows him on social media, he never thought he would be standing before this idol. He was so much mesmerized by this.

Snap out of it Wayne. Snap out of it! He chided himself inwardly. He thought he needed to say something.

"Hi...handsome idol Sir." Was what came out. He bit his lips, embarrassed. How could he fumble in front of his idol? He looked up at Jay who had an amused smile playing on his lips. Jay thought this new janitor would rather fit in a bodyguard's attire than in a janitor's. He thought the guys build was way too much for him to be a janitor. He had noticed the way he stood mesmerized and rooted to the spot when he came out. He's probably one of his many fans out there judging from his reaction and besides that, himself and his friends are extremely popular.

"You must be the new janitor." He said with such unique accent and a warm smile. Wayne who couldn't speak anymore for fear of embarrassing himself more only nodded sheepishly. Jay looked down at his tag.

"Wayne, do come in." Oh my! Wayne gushed inwardly. How could some guys be this perfect. His accent alone can make a girl's heart flutter. Wayne could swear to that. Jay held the door for him to enter.

And such humility! Not like his Boss' proud and evil daughter. Snap out of it Wayne. Remember why you are here. He once again chided himself inwardly. He nodded gratefully to Jay and pushed his cart inside.

   Wayne cleaned up the apartment neatly. As he busied himself cleaning a glass frame, his ears stood out attentive to gather any information he could get. He slightly envy the friendship of the trio. They do look great together, he thought. From the corner of his eyes he could see Roe, the second prince of England typing away on his phone while laying on the couch with his back flat on it. From the little he know about him; Roe's father the King of England, married an American woman who now happens to be the Queen consort of England and his mother. Unlike his elder brother, Prince Roe chose to school in America and with his mother's help had achieved that. Roe was also a full time citizen of America due to the fact that his mother_on one of her visits, had given birth to him in a famous hospital here in America. He had thereby achieved his citizenship by birth. And like his childhood friends, Roe was also one of America's top models. He had dark brown hair, captivating cool green eyes with thick lashes, lovely pink lips, great built and height. He was simply handsome.

Wayne's eyes wandered around to Dan. Daniel who was busy watching a movie on his laptop while sipping from a glass of wine was no doubt the leader and most good looking amongst the three. He had black hair, full eyebrows, long lashes which conceal his serious looking honey brown eyes, perfectly shaped nose, curvy lips, clean jawline, perfect body structure and great height. He is the perfect example of a super model which he indeed is. Looking at Dan one would possibly think he had Asian origin_which is kinda true since his maternal grandmom was Korean. Although he naturally got his good looks from his beautiful half-Korean mother.

No wonder why Ms. Lucia is after him. She always wants perfect things.

Jay who had been busy playing softly on his guitar suddenly stopped. He picked up his phone and typed away on it. Moments later he was smiling genuinely and then he was laughing softly. Roe clicked his tongue while shaking his head. He then said without looking at him.

"Watching the dancer's video again?" it was more of a certainty than a question.

"I thought as much." Dan added. Jay only laughed the more. From the other end of the room Wayne's ears stood attentively.

"Now that I think of it..." Roe said turning to look at him before he continued "I thought you were a Casanova Jay. Since when did you start picking interest in a particular girl huh?" He said as a matter-of-fact.

Daniel looked at Jay before chuckling.

"Careful brother you don't wanna be like me."

"Spare me guys, I'm just being a Casanova here." Jay said with a wink. "By the way, ain't you guys hungry cuz I sure am." He added. Roe sat up properly.

"Dear friend of mine, aren't you on a diet?" he said with a little bit of sarcasm.

"Of course not brother. I'm all good."Jay laughed

"I'm famished too. I will have sandwich for lunch. You guys?"

Dan said as he walked towards the refrigerator.

"I'm sorry bro. We're out on that. You had Roe ate it last night when he arrived. You can have pizza if you want." Jay said, stoping Dan on his tracks.

Dan shook his head in disapproval.

"No Jay. Let's check the cafeteria downstairs they'll probably have some. I don't feel like eating pizza today." he said as he took his seat again and shut down his laptop.

"Nope. Why don't we do it like the old times at Newark? Let's see what this school has to offer you know." Roe suggested.

"So what are you suggesting Roe?" Dan asked suspiciously.

"Let's have lunch at the general cafeteria today!" he deadpanned

"Oh No!" Dan gasped.

"Oh yes bro. Like the old times at Newark. Goodness you have been bottling in uptight for sometime now. You need a change. I'm glad your Dad had us transferred. This could be good for you." Jay said.

"Or bad for me," Dan said lowly, he had a far away look in his eyes.

"Common bro, be optimistic. You need to let go of the past. It's really ruining you. You need to live Dan. Please." Roe touched him gently on the arm.

Daniel exhailed. "Fine. Let's have lunch at the general cafeteria." he finally agreed.

"Great man. Let's do this." Jay said as he high-fived both of his friends.

Wayne who heard all this thought within him to immediately notify Miss Lucia. He hurriedly grabbed his tools and put them in the cart. After all his work here was done for today. He excused himself from the idols and pushed his cart out of the apartment.
