CHAPTER 20: Genuinely Happy
All her senses went flying out, heat rushing to her cheeks. Her back was facing him, though front view was no better.
Chris was standing infront of her with smugness written all over his face, his eyes playful, lips holding a smirk.
"Yes, Hazel. Tell him. What were saying earlier?" Chris took teasing steps towards her, her pleading eyes evoking no ounce of mercy inside him.
"Stop right there." Theodore sudden order caused Chris to pause in his tracks, a frown merring his features.
"Take those steps back." Theodore demanded with arms crossed over his chest, his back leaned against the doorframe of his office.
Confused, Chris did as he asked, Hazel also watching the scene with furrowed brows.
As Chris recovered back to his initial place, Theodore nodded in approval.
