CHAPTER 22: Hostage

Squinting her eyes in pain, Hazel tried to open her eyes, but the unwelcoming bright light wasn't allowing her.

Her first instinct was to move her hands and brings them to her face but on finding her arms cuffed, a wave of fear washed over her.

And that's when it hit her.

Everything came rushing to her mind with speed of light, causing her heart to drop, it's mild beats in sync with the thundering, drumming ones.

The anastasia was still in her system that was disallowing her to wiggle her weak bones.

Opening her swollen eyes, she first looked up to see the source of lightning.

A dim bulb.

It was hanging from the ceiling, right above her head. The rest area around her was an abyss of darkness, causing fear to erupt inside her.

She discovered, she was tightly bounded to a wooden chair, rough ropes were digging in her skin, making her wince in pain.

She was confused.
