Emma’s POV

The invitation came in a box black velvet, with gold script and a rose tucked beside it.

“Tonight. Dress warm. Be mine.”

No location. No time. Just… faith. And after everything we’d been through, I didn’t hesitate.

By 6:00 PM, a car pulled up outside my penthouse. The driver handed me a scarf and a knowing smile, then whisked me away from the glass towers and blaring horns of the city.

Where we were going didn’t matter. I knew who I’d find at the end of the road.

Killian.

Killian’s POV

I stood at the center of the rooftop garden I’d rented for the night candles lit, fairy lights twinkling above the snowy terrace. Strings of golden lights flickered along the wrought-iron railing, casting a warm glow over the city skyline below.

She was everything.

The fire I never knew I needed. The storm I’d gladly walk into,

  • Ruthless Temptation   A Scandal Breaks

Emma’s POV The news broke like a slap across the face. I was sitting at my desk, sipping coffee and reviewing a merger proposal when my assistant burst in, breathless, tablet in hand. “You need to see this.” My stomach dropped before I even looked. I could feel it—something cold and invasive creeping over my skin. There it was. “Heiress Emma Weston Slept Her Way to the Top? Leaked Emails Reveal University Hookups with Now-Husband Killian Thomas.” Attached to the headline were screenshots of emails—some old, flirty exchanges Killian and I had shared using university addresses, mixed with speculation and anonymous quotes from supposed classmates. I clicked one. “It was an open secret. She used to bully him in class. Then suddenly, they were always disappearing together. We all knew something was going on.” No source. No context. No truth.

  • Ruthless Temptation   Wedding Chaos & Parental Resistance

Emma’s POV The wedding was three weeks away. Three weeks of flower arrangements, seating charts, dress fittings, and chaos. But none of it compared to the storm brewing in my father’s eyes every time Killian walked into the room. “I still don’t understand,” he muttered over scotch one evening, swirling the amber liquid like it held answers. “Why him, Emma? Of all the men in your world…” “My world,” I repeated coldly. “Funny how you’re so quick to define it—like I had no part in building it myself.” “You know what I mean.” “No,” I said, leaning forward, eyes locked. “I don’t. So say it. Say what you really mean, Dad.” He clenched his jaw. “He’s not one of us. He never will be.” I smiled—sharp, unyielding. “Then maybe that’s the best thing about him.” Killian’s POV I wasn’t supposed to hear it. But I did.

  • Ruthless Temptation    All In

Killian’s POV It was a Saturday afternoon, but the tension felt like Monday morning before a boardroom war. Emma’s family estate wasn’t just big—it was a statement. Sweeping lawns, glass walls, fountains that served no purpose other than to say: We’re richer than you’ll ever be. And today… it was full of them. Uncles in tailored suits discussing markets I’d only recently learned to pronounce. Aunts dripping in pearls, judging my shoes before I even stepped onto the marble floors. Cousins who treated private jets like Ubers. I wasn’t just underdressed. I was underborn. Emma looped her arm through mine as we entered the atrium, her warm smile grounding me. “You okay?” I nodded. “Just wondering if I should’ve brought a Latin dictionary to understand half these conversations.” She chuckled and leaned into me. “You’re doing fine. They’re just p

  • Ruthless Temptation   Emma Proves Her Love

Emma’s POVThe ballroom shimmered with crystal chandeliers and glinted diamonds. It was the annual Lancaster Foundation Gala a night where the city’s elite gathered under one roof to sip champagne, gossip in silk, and quietly assess who was worth keeping close. Tonight, I wasn’t the host’s daughter. I wasn’t the heiress everyone expected me to be. I was Killian’s partner. And I was ready to show them.He stood beside me in a sleek black tuxedo, tailored to perfection. He looked incredible confident, collected but I could feel the tension in his hand wrapped around mine. He was trying so damn hard to belong in a world that still whispered behind his back. “You okay?” I murmured as we stepped further into the crowd.“I’ve been worse,” he replied, his smile not quite reaching his eyes. “Just trying not to spill anything on this thing. I think it costs more than my college tuition.”I squeezed

  • Ruthless Temptation    Killian’s Self-Doubt

Killian’s POVI hated the way the walls of her childhood home made me feel. Too tall. Too rough around the edges. Like a cracked stone among polished marble. The Lancaster estate was the kind of place I used to walk past as a kid and wonder what kind of people lived behind the wrought-iron gates. Now, I was walking inside with polished shoes, wearing a custom-fitted suit Emma had insisted I get.And yet—I still felt like an impostor.I tried to smile as Emma introduced me to her extended family during her cousin’s engagement party, but the greetings were stiff, the handshakes too quick. Most looked at me like they were trying to place a face they’d only heard about in whispers. Others didn’t even hide their disappointment.“He’s handsome,” one older aunt whispered to another, “but you can tell he’s not one of us.”That one hit harder than it should’ve. Not one of us.No matter what suit I wore or title I held, I would always be less in their eyes. T
