Chapter 9: The intro

Sassy pov

As the lecture progressed, I was lost in my own thoughts until the lecturer suddenly interrupted my reverie with a jarring question: "Who are you guys?" Her voice was calm, yet forceful, and her eyes bore into me as if daring me to come up with a satisfactory answer.

I felt a wave of panic wash over me as her question demanded an immediate response. The other students looked just as startled as I did, and for a moment, there was silence in the room.

Finally, one of my classmates spoke up. "Uh, we're the students from your class?" she said tentatively, as if unsure of herself. The lecturer's gaze shifted to her briefly before returning to me.

"That's obvious," she said sharply. "But who are you as individuals? What motivates you? What do you hope to achieve by taking this class?"

Her questions were like a barrage of bullets, and I found myself struggling to keep up. My mind raced as I tried to come up with a coherent response.

"I...I'm here because I want to learn," I stammere
