"What are you doing here?" She asked him carefully, her chest tight.

"Oh nothing, I came to see someone" he answered as he walked towards her, he had dressed casually today in black jeans and a white shirt with sneaker but his appeal was still as strong as ever.

She quickly chided herself and asked him, "Who is that?"

He stopped in front of her and smiled, "None of your business, that should not concern you. Now if you can, please tell me the way to the shooting center, I have to meet someone important there"

She frowned her face not noticing that his eyes twinkle as he stared at her. Was this what he was looking for her for.

"Fine, the shooting center is down to your right, there is a large door there, open it and you're there"

He smiled gratefully at her, "Thanks" then he walked off with swag in his footsteps.

"Who did he come to see that it was so important he had to come straight to the station?" She asked herself as she watched him walk away. She had an indifferent look on her face but inside she was boiling to see who it was. Sadly, she had to go back to work but throughout she could not concentrate on any thing. The papers in her hands looked unreadable and so she stared at the direction of the shooting center.

"Officer Grant"

"Yes ma'am" she jolted and answered quickly dropping her pen to the floor. Sargent Clara starred at the papers in front of her and stared back at Susan, an indescribable look on her face.

"Are you alright?" She questioned

Susan frowned slightly, "Yes ma'am. Why did you ask?"

"Do the papers in your hands seem understandable to you?" She asked again, her lips in a thin line. Susan nodded immediately, afraid that she had been caught slacking.

"Yes ma'am"

"Really"

"Y...yes...ma'am?" Unsure, she glanced at the papers in her hands and gasped in embarrassment, her face turned a light shade of pink as she turned the papers she was holding in the right position. Apparently they were upside down, that would explain why Sargent Clara was looking at her that way.

"I'm sorry...it must have slipped my mind" she rushed to answer.

"Hmm." Sargent Clara hummed softly, "Take five and be back here refreshed and ready to work. Those papers won't sort themselves" she told her and turned away.

"Thank you ma'am. I'll be back quick"

Without wasting time, she walked in a sprint manner to the shooting range, determined to see who he was meeting, apologizing loudly as she pushed some people just to get to the shooting center before she lost them. She opened the doors quietly and tiptoed into the room, stopping immediately when she saw him, his back to her talking animatedly to a young woman. The woman was dressed in uniform so she had to be a cop but who was she, her face was blurred by his his huge shoulders and she almost stomped her feet in frustration. Betrayal and pain lanced through her heart as she watched them. What was she thinking anyway, that she could get another chance at his love? He was what he was, she couldn't change it. Quietly as a cat, she turned back and left the place, sitting down in her chair somberly and taking up her papers once again, this time determined to finish her work and not care a dime about him. To think she had let use use her body, not that she regretted the action but she just a felt a little embarrassed at letting him enjoy her body.

Finally, after gruesome hours she was done with the papers, she hated paperwork, being out in the field was much more exciting but she couldn't complain.

"I wonder if he's gone already" she muttered to herself as she rubbed her sore shoulders. Just as she said that, Dominique walked out with a satisfied look on his face. Without thinking, she jumped out of her seat and rushed to call him.

"Dominique" his name sounded weird and familiar on her lips. He turned to her and faced her with a calm expression on his face.

"Yeah"

She stopped to catch her breath and think if what she was going to say, damn, she didn't think this true, did she?

"What is it. I have somewhere to be at" he groaned.

She snapped to attention, "That...who was the person you went to see?"

"What?"

"Yes" she bravodoed, "...the woman you went to see...who's she?"

He smirked at her and turned away, she growled as she watched him leave but she was damned if she was going to call him again. On impulse again, she marched towards the shooting center in search of the woman but nobody was there which she was grateful for and disappointed at also. Huffing in anger both at herself and Dominique and the woman, she left.

"Wow. He thinks he can walk into my station and flirt with another woman while I'm there? Then he must be joking" she muttered fiercely inside her car as she drove home, her hair was untied and waved around in the wind, "...not that I care, but he should at least have some decency. He just had sex with me then he comes in pretending like nothing ever happened..." Not that she didn't do the same thing but....her hands drummed her steering wheel, she was sure she looked like a mad person. "...and then he refuses to tell me who he met, what if she is a bad person, a stalker huh, I'm just concerned as a police officer" she consoled as if speaking with someone. Then suddenly, a car crashed into her from behind and she pitched forward, the airbag projected and stopped her from hitting her head on her windshield. She stepped out of the car, shaken but ready to scream.

"What the hell is wrong with you" she screamed at the man wearing a hoodie as he stepped out of his car.

"Can't you watch where you are driving?" She questioned as the hooded man walked closer to her.

Her supervisor asked patiently."Because, I can watch over anyone, perform any

"Susan!" Stacy smiled as she turned to fully look at her. She walked towards her, "Hi, I wasn't expecting to see you here" she almost said it accusingly."Yeah, neither was I....Hi" Susan answered blankly."Anyway, so...what are you doing here?" Stacy asked as she fidgeted in her boots.Susan shrugged, "Um, I came here to see someone""Who?" Susan blinked, "Er,.." just say it, "Dominique" there she said it.Stacy's face twitched a little, Susan didn't miss it."Oh, you came to see him personally or..." She left the statement hanging.Susan chuckled softly, "No. Actually, my training officer "ordered" me to come check up on him, so that's why I'm here.""Okay, great for you. I'm also here to uh see someone""Who?" She asked very curious to know who she was coming to see that she was rushing in like that."Um..." She bit her lips, "Its Dominique"Susan raised her eyebrows, Stacy rushed to continue, "You know I've always wanted to meet him and I figured that today might just be my lucky

"What didn't happen?" She asked him again when he had kept quiet not saying anything, was he going to talk about the sex they had, or the fact that she had been avoiding him? Which one?. He leveled a hard gaze on her then he smirked, "That you didn't stay here last night with me and watch me get better""Oh" her chest deflated, half in relief and half in disappointment. She had wanted him to speak about the sex but it seems like she was going to talk about it herself."Why won't you address it" she blurted. He frowned, "Address what?"She waved her hands in the air, "Us. The sex. How I avoided you"He opened his mouth to speak but she held up a hand to stop him, "I know you think I've been avoiding you because I'm shy but I just wanted to say...that...that it was a mistake""What was a mistake?"She groaned, frustration evident in her voice, "The sex, it was a mistake, I was feeling horny and I decided to use you to get it over with. Besides you offered" there, she crossed her hands,

"Dominique" Susan gasped weakly as she stood by the door, refusing to go closer lest she throws herself on his body.He lay helpless and unmoving, countless wires running through his body, a thick bandage stained with blood covered his forehead. Susan never thought she could feel this much sorrow for this man but right now she was trying to striffle the urge to cry. "Don't worry, he is stable now, he will be up and running by tomorrow" the middle-aged doctor told her soothingly. She nodded absently at him and walked with shaky legs towards him. His hands lay at his sides, some bruises dusted them, gently like an egg, she cradled one of his hands in hers and ran her fingers over it."He will be fine, dad" she told her father as if to console him but in truth she was consoling herself."Are you sure you are okay?" Her father asked her with a searching gaze, she shrugged."Yeah" in an obvious tone. "...I'm fine, why won't I" He glanced at her hand and back to her face, as if in realiza

"Hey, are you listening to me?" Susan couldn't help but question as the hooded man crept closer to her, unconsciously, she took a step backwards as he reached out a gloved hand towards her face."Who...what are you doing?" She began to panic a little but stood still in front of the man, she was a cop goddammit. But the man in front of her was dressed as a typical night terrorist, with black jeans, black shirt and even a black jacket with black boots to top the whole thing off, how could she not be scared. As if noticing what he had just done, the man turned towards the cars and checked carefully for any damage. Thankfully, their cars were strong so no distinct damages were made."You know,..." she started cautiously, "...it would have been a different case if someone had been injured, and I could have your license for that...in fact can I see your license?""You don't need my license to know who I am Susan" the voice that came from under the hoodie was a but gruff and drawn out, as if
