Amelia's POV

The sun had begun to set, casting a warm golden glow over the city as I stepped out of the luxurious black sedan and onto the bustling streets. My heart raced with a mix of anticipation and anxiety as I adjusted the strap of my handbag and scanned the surroundings. I was meeting Ethan at our favorite café, but recent events had left me on edge. The series of accidents and near-death experiences that had befallen our loved ones had taken a toll on our peace of mind.

As I approached the café, the familiar scent of freshly brewed coffee greeted me, mingling with the chatter of patrons and the clinking of cups. The place was abuzz with energy, and I could see Ethan sitting at our usual corner table, his eyes scanning the room for my arrival. A wave of relief washed over me as I made my way towards him.
