CHAPTER FORTY FIVE

~SANDINO AND BROOKE~

Sandino and Brooke walked hand in hand down the street. The feeling of being parents was a good one and very overwhelming. Brooke looked at Sandino. She loved him. She couldn’t imagine being without him, but lately he was slipping through her fingers. The harder she tried to hold on to him, the easier it was for Dino to leave. She didn’t understand.  

“I’m going to prove you wrong,” she said. Sandino looked over at her. What she said was unexpected. 

“What do you mean?” he asked. 

“I can change,” she answered. “I’m going to prove to you that I can be that girl you loved.” Sandino smiled. He then pulled her into his arms and gave her a kiss on the forehead. He sure did hope it was p
