~SANDINO AND BROOKE~
The doctor knocked on the room door before entering.
“I’m sorry to interrupt, I’m doctor Laura Cliff. I’ll be here to help you through your pregnancy and answer any questions for you. I will also be handling the delivery of your child.” Sandino looked. They had been seeing a different doctor for a little while but they felt that Doctor Cliff would be a better fit considering Brooke’s age.

~DAMON AND ELLA~Damon came rushing out of his bedroom. The house was quiet. Brooke was laid up in bed, Mike was at school and Ella was sitting on the couch, a book in hand.“So Brooke didn’t go to school today?” Damon questioned. “Is she feeling okay?” If that was her son’s attempt to keep the conversation off of him, it didn’t work. Ella looked up and shook her head.“And you didn’t go to work?” Damon shook his head. He was heading into the kitchen for coffee. ~THE BOYS~Justin cleared his throat, not sure how to approach the question. He wasn’t sure if this was something that Kahlan would be comfortable about him sharing, then again, She and Carly had an open discussion about it at the lunch table. There were no whispers or hushed tones. Maybe Kahlan was done hiding.“Well her mom came back,” he answered. The boys nodded. That was something that they had already overheard.“Well where was she at?” Brandon asked. Justin shrugged.“The point is she’s been gone and she’s back expecting things between her and Kahlan to go back to normal, but Kahlan can't seem to do that, which I can understand. Her mom has missed a lot, you know, things moms should be around for.”

~KAHLAN AND CARLY~“So, what’s so important?” I asked Carly as we walked towards the patio. She looked at me. I rubbed my face multiple times to get rid of the water running down from my wet hair that was up in a bun. “I mean something had to be important for you to just climb the fence to my backyard.” The young girl laughed.“Nothing is important, I mean, I just came to check on you.”“To check on me?” I asked, taking a seat on the patio table. I nodded my head. “You know you don’t have to worry about me every second of the day.” Carly took a seat in one of the lawn chairs.“Yeah I know. ~MYA AND CHAD~Chad tapped his finger on the steering wheel, waiting for Mya. He had his stereo on, listening to one of his favorite bands, Three Days Grace. Then she finally came. She sat in the passenger seat. Chad looked over at her waiting for her to speak. “Sorry, I had to tell Amy that I didn’t need a ride today.” Chad looked over at Mya and noticed the curling of her lips. She was pleased with herself. “Yeah,” Chad said, “What was Amy’s reaction?” Mya shrugged. “You know, I wasn’t really paying attention.” Chad chuckled lightly. The woman practically said she was out to destroy her sister. Everything she said or did was to get a reaction out of Amy; of course she was paying attention. “You expect me to believe that?” he asked. Mya looks, but then smiled. “I guess not,” Mya said, “She looked upset and a little curious.” “Curious?” Mya nodded her head. “About what exactly?” “My guess; why am I hanging out with you and what kind of relationship do we have with each other.”

~KATE AND CARLY~The woman stared ahead, eyes open, but she wasn’t blinking. Her body was still. She gripped a green mug tightly in her right hand. The cup itself looked half full but you could still see some steam rising from the dark liquid. Carly guessed it was coffee. She stood tall behind Kate, who sat on the teal living room couch."How'd you sleep?" Kate asked, looking at the teen. Carly smiled."Like a baby. You?""I didn't sleep", Kate answered, "I have a lot on my mind." Kate’s face looked pale, and her eyes seemed to barely be open."Thinking about Kahlan?" The older woman nodded. ~KATE AND ROBERT~Kate stood at the sink washing the breakfast dishes. Robert came up from behind her, wrapping his arms around her tiny waist. She chuckled lightly as he put his light pink lips to her neck."Well good morning to you too." said Kate. Robert chuckled. He walked away after letting go of his girl friend and went to make himself a cup of coffee."Kate," Robert replied, "I need to talk to you.""Sure, what is it?" He leaned back against the kitchen counter, holding his cup up to his lips. Kate looked over at him as she dried her hands. Robert Woods stared for a moment."I have to go back to work." Kate’s eyes went wide.“You what?" He set his mug on the counter."I want to know if you'll be here when I get back." He could feel anger even though she looked calm, but even with her calmness and anger he could also see her nervousness."For how long?" Kate asked."Three days," Robert answered, "and then I decided to take a vacation, three weeks off." Kate took a deep breath. "
