Chapter Thirty-four

"Is something wrong?" Xander asked and I swallowed nothing. Something is wrong, my brother is rushed into the emergency room, of course, a lot is wrong.

"Are you in pain?" He asked. Yes, my heart is in pain. It is bleeding, my only family is battling to keep his life and I am here having fun. How can my heart not be in pain?

"Yes," I nodded. "I am in pain," I lied and held my head.

"Huh, let us head back into the doctor's office," he suggested and led me back.

I have to find a way, I have to see Dwayne. I need to know how my brother is fairing.

Xander slowly led me back to the doctor's office and I lay on the bed, I moaned in pain and the doctor picked up a syringe.

"Pull the curtain," I ordered him and he creased his brows confusedly

"Just do it," I gritted my teeth and he did. "I am fine so you can put that goddam syringe down," I whispered and he obeyed.

"Tell Xander that I need to rest, transfer me to the emergency ward and make sure Xander doesn't enter," I
