Chapter Twenty-five

Xander picked up a lighter and lighted the cigarette between his lips, he puffed out smoke and dipped his hand into his hair.

He knew he was being hard on Marianne but he just wanted to protect her, he has this soft spot for her and he can't understand why.

He is staying home because he has a migraine, he could have forced himself and headed to work but he saw it as an opportunity to watch over Marianne.
