SELIORA POV

As I glared at Kaelion, I felt so much anger boiling inside of me.

I couldn't tell which made me angrier between sly grin on his face or the fact that he showed no remorse despite all he had just done.

“How could he?” I thought to myself breathing heavily. He had destroyed everything I cared about in just hours.

My pack, my freedom, and now he was about to strip me of my pack and a place I have known all my life.

“Well, since we have a deal I think it's time for us to leave but I must warn you Seliora,” He muttered in a calm yet authoritative way while standing up and fixing his gaze on me. “Nobody betrays me and lives to tell the story.”

Seeing that there was no reaction from me, he grabbed my left arm and pulled me up while staring into my eyes. “You are one tough bitch.”

“Do you understand me?” He growled. “Your brother’s life is in your hands now, you are responsible for everything that happens to him from now on. If I were you, I would behave myself and do as I am told.”

“Yes,” I stated, trying to free myself from his grip but he was just too strong.

“Good,” He muttered, finally letting me go.

He then turned away and began to walk towards the door while I stood there angrily, wishing there was a way I could get myself out of the situation without having to go with him but there wasn’t.

My brother’s life and safety were at stake. I had already made the mistake of running without him, I was not going to make the same mistake once more.

“Move it Seliora!” He demanded, pushing the door wide open while looking back at me.

“Do you promise to keep my brother safe?” I asked in a loud but commanding tone. “I need your word.”

If I was going to do this and leave with him, I needed to know my brother was going to be fine.

“You have my word as long as you do as I say,” He replied but I knew he could not be trusted. A man who would wipe out an entire pack just because of some accusations I was sure could never be true was not to be trusted.

“Okay,” I stated, walking out of the room with a straight face.

As I stepped outside of the house which was still thick with dust and smoke from the houses Kaelion burnt down, tears filled my eyes but I sucked it back in.

I just could not give Kaelion the pleasure of seeing me in tears.

I remembered how I promised Kaelion I was going to help me become a fighter just like me the previous night and how we both watched an action movie afterwards while teasing each other.

I was going to miss my brother so much.

Sensing that Kaelion was right at my back, I turned back to look at him.

“I need to see my brother one more time before I leave, I need him to know I am fine,” I stated.

“No!” Kaelion responded.

The sly grin he had on his face earlier had completely faded and was now filled with anger for some reason.

“Look around, you got what you wanted. All I am asking for is just to see him for some minutes,” I insisted.

Kaelion went quiet for some seconds before calling out to one of his men who was standing right by his car.

“Bring the boy now!” He commanded.

The soldier ran off immediately while I continued to look around a place which once used to be my home but was now reduced to nothing.

“Seliora,” I heard Thalric say, while being dragged towards me with chains around his legs.

“Thalric,” I mumbled, watching him.

I hated the condition he was in but hated the fact that there was nothing I could do to protect him more.

Kaelion’s men then shoved him towards me while staring at both of us.

“Can I at least talk to him alone?” I asked, looking back at Kaelion.

“Fine!” He muttered, signalling to his men to walk away while he also walked towards the car.

“I am sorry I left you Thalric, I will never leave you alone like that again,” I said, pulling him for a hug while patting him on the back.

“I was so scared sister, I tried to hide in dad’s office but he found me. I thought something bad had happened to you,” Thalric replied, weeping softly but I instantly pulled him away.

“You have to be strong brother, I need to leave with him but I promise I will be back to get you,” I said in a confident tone, wiping the tears off his face. “This is only going to be for a while.”

Thlaric nodded his head slowly but pulled me in for another hug.

“Time up!” I heard, Kaelion say.

“I love you,” I whispered to Thalric, gently removing his hands which were tightly wrapped around my waist.

I then planted a kiss on his head before he was pulled away from me by two of Kaelion’s men.

Two of his other men also escorted me to the car but before I got in, I turned back to look at Thlaric who was being taken away in a bus, and the remains of my pack which had been burnt to the ground.

I had accepted my fate but this was not the end.

It might look like Kaelion has won but I was never going to let this go. I will make sure to make him suffer the same fate as the people of my pack that he murdered in cold blood.

He was going to regret not killing me.

“Go in!” I heard one of his men say.

With a heart full of revenge and anger, I entered the car ready for whatever was coming next.

I knew I wanted answers but what if the answers were too much for me to handle? For the longest time, all I wanted to do was speak to Alpha Thane and ask why he did this to me.Now that it was time, I was anxious. The five minutes I gave to Seliora had finally run out. No matter how much I tried to convince him that something was wrong, he refused to listen.“Why would he run now?” I asked. “He could have run since you took me if he wanted to.”“He was sick, he ran after he got better,” Kaelion replied.I was tired of trying to get Kaelion to see my point.“I need to talk to him first after getting to the house,” I demanded, seeing how furious he had been since the bus drove out of the pack house. He had the same death look on his face on the day he murdered my pack.“Fine but do not test my patience, Seliora. Convince him to name his accomplice and this would all be over soon,” He stated.I nodded my head in agreement.I wanted to talk to my father and ask him questions too, but I just did not know where to start. So much had happened since the last time I saw him in person.I felt like a different person now.I stared out the moving bus window anxiously.Could I really trust Kaelion to put himself togethe

I closed my eyes and tried to recall what had happened but could not. “Fuck,” I exclaimed.I was supposed to talk to Kaelion about how he ran his pack affairs not get drunk and forget all that had happened.I walked out of bed and hurried towards the door. The kysnite stone and my father’s diary were still in my room.I could not let anyone see either of the two. I hurried out of the room and went straight into the pack house. As I walked in, Kaelion appeared from nowhere.“You have ten minutes to get ready, we have somewhere to be,” He stated in a

KAELION POVI could feel my anger rising.“Get away from her!” I demanded, charging towards him.He dodged my attack swiftly and hurried towards the door. I contemplated going after him but instead hurried towards Seliora who was still on the bed.“Are you okay?” I asked, helping her sit up.“What happened?” She mumbled. It was obvious she was tipsy.“Why did you come here with him?” I asked, picking her up into my arms.“He was sweet to me,” She answered as I left the room. I said nothing and carried her into the car. I fastened her seat belt and locked the car door.I then hurried back into the bar and paid for the drinks before getting back into the car and driving off.Halfway to the pack house, she turned to look at me.“You are marrying, Claire,” She mumbled. “You both deserve each other.”“No!” I exclaimed, wondering how she knew about it.“I know I should hate you and I want to but I just do not. KAELION’S POVI could not believe my eyes. The dress Seliora wore was almost the same one as the dress Misha wore on our first date.“Please pick something else to wear,” I demanded, standing up.Seliora walked away without saying a word. Five minutes later, she walked back to me.She had changed the outfit just as I asked her to.“Can we leave now?” She asked, with a straight face.I felt bad for asking her to change the dress. I had noticed her body language earlier in the car. She didn't feel comfortable in the clothes she wore. This was not the first time I had seen her that way.“Yes,” I replied, walking over to the reception. “Pack all the clothes she tried on.”The boutique staff nodded their head in agreement. “Give me a few minutes,” She said, while I looked back at Seliora who was standing right across me.I looked back at the staff at the reception and handed my card to her. A few minutes later, I was handed the bags.I then walked over to Seliora.“I only got two pants an
