SELIORA POV

The ride to Obsidian Fang felt like an eternity. I couldn't tell how long we had been on the road, but the loud sound of the metal door opening and the noises of people who I assumed to be Kaelion’s pack members told me all I needed to know, we had finally arrived.

The obsidian fang pack house was like nothing I had ever seen. From the large compound filled with many of Kaelion’s men to the huge mansions built inside the house, it was all so magnificent.

The car finally came to a halt, but I still found it hard to accept that this was my new reality.

Living with a man who murdered my pack in cold blood and a new pack which I just could not wait to destroy was at the top of the list of things I never imagined would happen to me.

“This is only for a while,” I thought to myself staring out of the car’s window but for some reason, I had started to doubt myself.

Maybe it was the sight of the blood of my pack members which spilt all over the floor of the ballroom or the buildings that I saw crumble down, I didn't know what it was particularly but I was shaken.

I had never felt this helpless in my entire life.

“Get the hell out of the car,” I heard a voice say.

I had been completely lost in my thoughts.

Rolling my eyes in irritation, I pushed the car’s door open and slowly walked out while looking around at huge houses and tall fences.

I could already tell I was going to find it hard to escape from here and so whatever plan I was going to come up with, it had to be huge.

“Welcome to your new home,” I heard Kaelion say but I remained quiet.

Everyone in the compound had their eyes fixated on me and I could see the proud look they all had on. They looked so proud of their Alpha that it made me more determined to take my revenge on them all.

“I will burn it all to the ground!” I mumbled to myself, raising my chin. I didn't care what it would cost me but in that moment, I knew I would do whatever it takes even if it meant losing my life in the process.

That was how bad I wanted it.

The doubt that I was feeling earlier was starting to slowly fade away.

“Come with me,” He added, walking towards one of the huge houses.

I reluctantly walked behind me but soon started to feel exhausted and thirsty. I had gone so many hours without a drop of water or food.

We reached the door of the house and I watched as two of the guards at the door of the house bowed their heads in respect while opening the door to the house.

As I walked into the house, I tried to keep a straight face while looking around the huge living room. The centre of attraction was the diamond chandelier dropping from the ceiling and also the huge paintings and a particular picture which was hung on the wall.

It was a picture of a beautiful woman with long brown hair and hazel eyes. I immediately knew it had to be the woman he was doing all of this for.

“Is she the reason why you wiped out my whole pack without any consideration?” I asked, clenching my fist while still staring at the picture.

“You don't get to ask me questions, I didn't bring you here for that,” He answered coldly but by the tone of his voice, I knew it was definitely her.

“You promised to let your brother go but instead I watched your men drag him into a bus with chains,” I muttered. “He’s a kid.”

“Your brother is going to be with my men while we wait for your parents to return. He is safe with them and they are going to drop him off at your pack once they return. The chains were just precautions to ensure you weren't going to take off with him like you did earlier,” He responded.

His reply made me feel a bit relieved but I still didn't trust him.

“I need to speak to him, I need to know he is safe with mother and father,” I demanded.

“Sure,” Kaelion answered to my surprise while walking towards me.

He then brought out his phone, dialled a number while I watched him in silence.

“Give the phone to the boy,” He demanded placing the phone to his ears before passing it to me.

“Are you okay Kaelion?” Have you been unchained?” I asked.

“Yes sister,” He responded.

“Did they get you something to eat?” I added.

“Yes,” Thalric replied.

“You are going to be with mother and father very soon, you are safe,” I assured him before handing the phone back to Kaelion.

“Make sure you get him back to his parents safely,” He added, ending the call.

Talking to Thalric made me feel a lot better and now that I was sure my little brother was safe, I only had to worry about taking revenge on Kaelion.

“I keep my promises,” Kaelion stated, walking away from me.

“Fuck you and your promises you sick psycho!” I barked, tired of keeping it all in. “I don't know how you concluded that my father was involved in the death of your mate but you are wrong and I am going to prove it to you.”

“You know if we met under normal circumstances, we maybe could have been friends because I love your spirit,” He muttered, picking up a bottle of alcohol on the table in front of him and pouring himself a glass. “You adore your father so much that it has blinded you from seeing exactly who he is but do not worry, you are going to find out exactly who he is as we both get to the bottom of everything together.”

KAELION POVSeeing the proud look Seliora had on her face after almost murdering one of the closest people I had left made me fear I might have gone too soft on her.I needed to remind her that she was being taken captive here.“Go into your room and call the pack doctor. I will see you in a minute,” I stated, facing Claire. She nodded her head and walked away quietly while I wondered what to do with Seliora.“You would have killed her if I were not here to stop you,” I yelled, trying so hard to hold back my anger. If Seliora had hurt her, I would not have been able to forgive myself. “You disobey my rules every chance you get. You are going to get punished this time,” I growled.“Really,” Seliora simply responded. It seemed like she had something to say but I didn't want to hear whatever it was she had to say.“I was protecting myself from her, she attacked me!” She stated.I was sure there was no way Claire was lying to me, Seliora had to be the one lying.“Did you ask her for a wa

SELIORA POV“Where am I?” I mumbled, slowly opening my eyes. The last thing I remembered was collapsing in front of Kaelion while trying to talk to him. I managed to open my eyes completely and tried to sit up but I was too weak. I scanned the room with my eyes slowly and from what I could tell, I was in a hospital.“You are fine, you were brought here to the pack clinic by the Alpha,” I heard a voice say.“Kaelion,” I muttered in disbelief. He was the last person I imagined would bring me here.“Yes,” The pack doctor replied, walking towards me with a tray of food of water. “You have to eat, you are suffering from extreme exhaustion and starvation.”“How long was I out for?” I asked, taking the tray from him.“About six hours,” The doctor responded.“Wow,” I mumbled.“Eat up and rest, I will be back in three hours to check up on you,” The doctor said, walking away.I slowly opened up the plate which contained a bowl of food, some vegetables, and steak. “Smells good,” I whispered, t

KAELION POVThis didn't look like a trick or an attempt to fool me but if it was, she must be pretty good at acting.Without a second's thought, I picked her up and hurried towards the quarter where the pack doctor lives with Jackson right behind me.Whatever it was, I could not let her die. She was only useful to me alive.“Get her on the table,” The pack doctor who seemed to have sensed us coming instructed.I gently placed her down while watching the doctor examine her. For some reason, I hated to see her this way.It reminded me of how helpless I felt seeing Misha’s dead body.“What is wrong with her?” I inquired, running out of patience.“She is suffering from starvation and extreme exhaustion, Alpha. It seemed like she had not slept or eaten for a long amount of time,” The doctor explained.I knew Seliora was relentless and stubborn but I never thought she would succumb to starving herself. I felt sorry for chaining her and dragging her to the border but there was no way I could

SELIORA POVThis was enough to prove that Kaelion might have been wrong about everything. He was so quick to assume this attack was from my father.Maybe he acted under annoyance and should have probably investigated the attack or maybe his mate’s death made him too delusional to even think things through.Either way, I loved his response and looked forward to making him suffer till he took his last breath. I had also hoped this was Father but I was not disappointed. I was sure he was doing everything he could to get me out of here. This was going to be a bit hard for him considering Kaelion wiped out all of our pack members and father’s men.“We have to go,” The familiar man who earlier came into the office to break the news of the attack to Kaelion announced standing right next to me.“You are his Beta right,” I muttered, looking sideways at him. “What is your name?.“Jackson,” He answered, coldly.“I am guessing Kaelion is also your friend,” I uttered. “What do you want?” Jackson

KAELION POVI expected an attack from Alpha Thane but this was happening sooner than I expected.Judging from how frightened Jackson looked, it was quite obvious he was terrified.“We cannot be certain my father is behind this, it could be anyone,” Seliora said.“Well we are about to find out, aren't we?” I stated, grabbing her arms and dragging her out of the room.“What are you doing?” She asked in a loud voice but I was too upset to even listen to her.All I wanted was to know whether this attack was from her father or not. I had promised to keep my remaining pack members safe and was willing to do anything to keep the promise.I just could not let them go through another attack. Besides what Kind of Alpha would I be if I could not keep my pack safe?“You might want to think about whatever is going on in your head safe. If the attack is truly from my father, you have to let me see and talk to him,” Seliora said, but I only continued to ignore her.“Gather all the men, I will be the

SELIORA POVThere was no way I could remain calm or try to reason with Kaelion. He had completely lost his mind. There was no way in hell I was going to help him take down my father.I reached for the door and tried to open it up but couldn't.“Let me out of here,” I demanded, staring back at him.“We are not done talking, Seliora. Come back and sit,” He replied.Seeing that I had no option, I reluctantly made my way towards the chair and sat down on it.“Rule number three, You listen to me whenever I talk. The next time you try to leave or break any of my rules, you will be punished,” He stated, glaring at me.“You already destroyed my pack and took everything I love from me, there is no greater punishment than that,” I responded, clenching my jaw.“I simply did the same thing your father did to me,”He said, casually. The room went quiet afterwards with both of us staring into each other's eyes with so much rage. I desperately wanted to ask how he assumed my father was behind this
