I walked through the double doors, the officer at reception smiling at me. His dark hair pushed back. "Can I help?" He asked. I had my office uniform on, the classic dark polo shirt. I had got an early dinner on the way home and I was excited to see Leon. I worried about him with me being at work and at least I could keep a proper eye on him. I was sitting outside Leon's house, after my interview I went to nans to quickly check in with her. She was okay, not as good as I would have liked but once she ate I decided I was going to wait for Leon. I had been here about half an hour, still in my formal uniform, sitting on his doorstep. I slumped on my office chair, it was getting more and more depressing coming into work without Leon. He wasn't doing great either, he might say my whole life was around the police but his was as well. When you spend ninety percent of your time at work it's hard for it to suddenly stop. It was a Wednesday, me and Leon were about to go on nights and had a day off to prepare.
