We didn't even realize how much time had gone. I looked at Nick as he slept peacefully on the couch. He had fallen asleep while sitting on my lap. I gently brushed the stains from his clothes as he snuggled into my touch. I tucked the hair away from his forehead and placed a soft kiss there. Then I stood up and went back to work. I still had a lot to finish before I had to leave. Suddenly, a phone started ringing. It wasn't mine. I glanced around before walking over to Nick's bag. His phone lit up with "Avery" on the screen. As I picked it up, I noticed he had a long list of missed calls and messages. I was about to put it back when I accidentally answered the call. “Finally! What on earth have you been doing with Grayson?” she asked. My eyes immediately shifted toward the door. Has she seen us? Wasn't the door closed? “You left hours ago, and you haven't answered any of my calls,” she said while I stayed quiet. “I know you're with Grayson right now. That's why I left you with him, but you've been gone for hours.” she complained and I raised a brow. She was really quick to call me Grayson. “Nick is with Grayson?” I heard Mira ask from the other end of the call. “Shhh,” she whispered to Mira, and I let out a quiet scoff. “Hey. Why aren't you answering me?” she asked. I looked over at Nick, who was still asleep on the couch. “Nick's tired. He'll call you when he wakes up,” I said, and I heard her gasp. “Grayson? Sorry... I mean, Professor Grayson,” she corrected herself. “It's alright.” “He really... he really needs sleep,” she said. I could tell she already felt awkward talking to me over the phone. “Just... Please let him know his mum is at the house, sir. She said she won't leave until she sees him,” Avery said. “I don't think he slept well after everything that happened last night,” she added, almost under her breath. “I'll let him know,” I replied. “Oh... thank you. I'll leave him in your care, then.” She ended the call. She was right. He had met his mother last night. After Mira threw a fit, it couldn't have been an easy night for him. I walked to the door and turned the doorknob. It wasn't locked. I didn't think of the door while Nick's face was buried between my legs. My cock tightened as I remembered that. I walked back to my seat, adjusted my glasses, and turned my attention to the computer again. An hour later, while recording the students' grades, I felt eyes on me. I looked over at Nick, and he quickly shut his eyes. A quiet scoff escaped my lips as I stood up and walked over to him. I sat on the couch opposite him and took a sip from the glass of water on the table. He opened his eyes and noticed I wasn't at my desk anymore. He slowly turned toward the couch where I was sitting and blinked. I tilted my head and held up the glass in my hand. “Thirsty?” I asked. He pressed his lips together before shaking his head. “I... I should get going,” he said. His voice was still hoarse. He slowly stood from the couch and reached for his bag. Before he could grab it, I gently pulled him onto my lap and turned his face toward mine. He winced when I touched his cheek. I gave him a questioning look, but he quickly looked away. “I asked if you could handle it,” I said as I gently turned his face back toward me. “I'm fine. I really should get going,” he replied, standing up at once. He kept a hand on his jaw as he spoke. “Are you sure you're okay? Is it really that bad?” I asked, reaching for him again. He stepped back and forced a small smile. “I'm really fine. I need to get home to Mira and get ready for work,” he said before turning to leave. “Your mum is waiting at your house,” I told him as I stood up and he turned to the door. “Mira,” he muttered and started to leave. I caught his arm and gently pulled him back. I turned him to me and lifted his chin. I kissed him softly, my hand resting against his cheek as my thumb brushed over his skin. “You really should have listened when I told you to stop,” I said and he only shook his head. “It'll get better soon,” he replied with a small smile as he looked into my eyes. “How's Mira?” I asked quietly. He let out a soft sigh. “Better than she was last night,” he said. “Do you want me to drive you home?” I asked. He shook his head. “Do you really think I should accept my mum?” he asked and I fell silent. It wasn't my place to answer. I hardly got involved in family matters, and I didn't know what to say. “Do you think you should?” I asked instead as I gently brushed his bangs into place. “Everyone deserves a second chance,” he said and I looked at him quietly. Does everyone really deserve a second chance? I gently ruffled his hair and smiled. “Of course,” I said. “I think you found your answer.” “Finish your work. I'll see you tonight,” he said, and I nodded. He pointed at his forehead, and I chuckled before leaning over to kiss. Then he left the office, quietly closing the door behind him. I watched him go. It felt wrong seeing him leave. I wanted him to stay a little longer. I was falling far too deeply for Nick. And my heart ached as I thought about the price I might have to pay for loving him.NICK WALKER ©I always held Enzo close whenever we were together, and it includes this moment also.I sometimes get the fear that he might run from my arms and I can't explain where that feeling came from.Maybe I wasn't wrong to feel that way. For a moment, it felt like I was about to lose him.But he was here again, his tongue stuck in mine. He pulled away from me and stared at my bleeding wrist. The cloth wrapped around it was already soaked with blood. He let out a sigh and turned to leave, but I quickly grabbed his shirt. He looked back at me and ruffled my hair, giving me a short smile before gently removing my hand from his shirt. Then he walked out of the gym, leaving me alone.I stared down at my wrist. It hurt, but I barely registered the pain.My mind was too focused on Enzo.I couldn't stop thinking about him.I looked across the large gym and noticed cigarettes and ashes scattered across the floor.Everything was a mess. It looked like he had been here all day. What was
NICK WALKER ©After my conversation with Mr. Kyle that day, I still couldn't get hold of Enzo for another three days.Mr. Kyle wasn't letting me see him because his men kept stopping me. Even when he left his office, one thing or another always stopped me from getting to him.My head was a mess. Back at home, I had planned a small outing for Mira and Mom without telling either of them. But it turned into a failure, just like I expected.Mira and I had a fight before I left home for work.Enzo still wasn't replying to my messages.I pressed my lips together and stared at the entrance of the bar."What's got you thinking?" Shawn asked as he stood in front of the counter."Ah. Nothing, really," I said with a forced smile.I suddenly spotted Mr. Kyle leaving his office upstairs with his men. I quickly grabbed my phone."Where are you going?" Shawn asked as I left my station.“Uh, the bathroom. Cover for me for a while,” I told him before walking outside. Before I could get to him, his men
NICK WALKER ©The exams were over, and the holiday had finally started. But I hadn't been able to reach Enzo for the past three days.He hadn't come to my house, and I hadn't seen him at work either. He wasn't replying to my texts or answering my calls.I couldn't stop worrying.I just wanted to know if he was okay. Was he sick?“Aren't you going to eat?” Avery asked as we sat down for lunch.I sighed as I stared at the food in front of me.“If you're not going to eat it, give it to me,” Avery said, pulling my plate toward herself.Seriously? Before she could take another bite, Mira smacked the back of Avery's hand with her spoon and pulled the plate back to me.“Ow! That hurt.”“Mira, apologize,” I said quickly as I took Avery's hand to check it.“How did you even choose her as your friend?” Mira asked, shaking her head as she continued eating.“He wasn't eating. You didn't have to be so harsh,” Avery said, rubbing the spot where Mira had hit her.“Well... sorry,” Mira mumbled.Avery
LORENZO GRAYSON \ VADIM KERZHAKOV ©My phone had been ringing nonstop the entire drive home. It was still ringing when I walked through the front door. I tossed it across the spacious living room and headed upstairs.I grabbed a travel bag and opened the drawer to get my passport. Then I looked at my reflection before sliding the mirror aside, revealing the weapons hidden behind it.I picked a few of them and reached for my phone again. I'd already sent Kyle a message, asking him to book me a flight back to Russia.I rushed back downstairs and searched for the phone I'd thrown across the living room.“Where the fuck is it?” I yelled as I searched the lounge and the kitchen connected to it.Just then, I heard a car screech to a stop outside the house. It was Kyle.I grabbed my bag and hurried to his car.“The ticket?” I asked as I walked up to him.“What's going on?” he asked.I ran a hand through my hair and let out a frustrated sigh.“Kyle, I fucking need the ticket.”“Not until you

I could wait.“ She said.“You should go. It'll take a while.“ I said.I clenched my hands on the device in my palm as I headed to the office.I needed to know what was on the drive.I unlocked the door, walked over to my laptop, and plugged it in.I searched through the files and found only one video.I clicked play.“Move it,” someone said from the video. It looked like an underground room, with several men standing around. Then I saw my mother.I furrowed my brows and paused the video. Why was Mom in the video?I pressed play and kept watching as they dragged her by the arms while she tried to break free. Then it hit me.This was connected to the day she died. She was wearing the same clothes she had on when they found her body. They threw her onto the floor, and my breath caught in my thr
LORENZO GRAYSON \ VADIM KERZHAKOV©The moment I realized what had happened at the college last night, my thoughts went straight to my father.Antonio must never find out about this. The college was large and prestigious. If the video leaked, it would spread fast. Thinking about the footage of Nick and I made me wonder if Antonio already knew.Nick had to stay safe.I promised I would protect him, and I had no intention of breaking that promise.Kyle found out about the situation before reaching out to me. Then Professor Douglas, Alina, called me when the video started spreading around the college.I found someone who hacked the college account and got the video taken down, though it took some time.I handled the college board the same way I did when I first came here to work as a professor.Somehow, my thoughts drifted back to Nick once more, and I let out a quiet sigh.If Father had already found out about him, I had to move fast. There was still so much to do, especially finding the
