KIERAN’S POV:

“Please tell me if you are really Jade. I know that I have wronged you, but you are well aware why I married Selene.”

"Mr. Kieran, you need to stop this. You want to know how I got to know your name? Fine, I will tell you. When my husband brought your child, I asked her who her father was, and she told me”.

“Everyone is worried about you; we need to leave.” I said to her as I helped her to stand up.

“What happened to me? How did I end up here?” She inquired.

“I should be the one asking you that. When you left, we waited for you to come back, but we did not see you. We were all worried about you, so your husband and I went in different directions to look for you. I was able to find you first because of your unique scent.” I replied to her.

“What about the children?” She inquired.

“They are safe in the tent. But what actually happened to you?” I asked curiously.

“I was pricked by a flower in the meadow, and all of a sudden I had a blackout.”

JADE’S POVI sat in front of my mirror, wiping away the last of my tears. My heart was calmer now because Lotus showed me the truth. But suddenly, I heard footsteps outside. My chest tightened. Kieran…The door opened and Kieran walked in quickly. His dark eyes searched for me.“Jade,” he said, his voice breaking. “I’ve been looking for you everywhere.”I wanted to run into his arms, but then I felt it—that strange chill in the air. Someone was watching. I remembered Lotus’s warning. Alvina could be close. So I forced my face into a frown. “Why are you here?” I snapped.Kieran froze. “I… I came to explain. What you saw, it wasn’t what you thought.”I crossed my arms, trying to look cold. “I don’t want to hear your excuses.”“Jade, please,” he said, stepping closer. “Pearl—she tried to touch me. I pushed her away.”My heart leapt, but I kept my mask on. “Enough, Kieran. Leave my room.”His jaw tightened. “You don’t mean that.”“I do,” I whispered sharply. “Leave.”Silence stretched bet

JADE'S POV:I ran down the corridor, my heart breaking with every step. Kieran’s voice echoed behind me.“Jade! Wait!”I didn’t stop. Tears blurred my eyes. How could he? After everything?Suddenly, a hand caught mine.“Ah!” I gasped, trying to scream. But in a flash, the world spun. The villa walls disappeared. Darkness surrounded me.When I blinked, we stood in a quiet grove.A tall figure appeared in my view, this guy should be Hardin.Kieran once told me about him when we were alone.Hardin’s golden eyes stared into mine. His hand still clutched my wrist. His other hand covered my mouth.“Shh,” he whispered. “Don’t scream. If I hadn’t taken you, Kieran would’ve caught you.”I pushed his hand away, gasping for air. “What are you doing? Why did you take me?”Hardin smirked. “Saving you from more pain.”Before I could reply, another figure appeared from the shadows.“Jade,” Alvina’s voice called.I froze. “Alvina…?”She stepped forward, her face calm, but her eyes sharp. “I told you,

KIERAN’S POVI was in my study with the wizard and the ancient dragon, Metatron. Scrolls lay open on the table, and we were deep in discussion about the latest ritual to protect Jade.Suddenly, a knock came on the door.“My Lord,” a guard’s voice called.“What is it?” I asked sharply. The guard stepped inside, bowing low. “Forgive me, my Lord. Lady Pearl has arrived. And she wants to see you.”I froze. Pearl? The wizard looked at me, brows raised. Metatron frowned. My jaw tightened. “Pearl?” I repeated.“Yes, my Lord. She waits in the living room.”My fists clenched on the table. “And who gave her permission to enter my villa?”The guard swallowed hard. “I… I thought—”“You thought?” I hissed. My power flared, shadows twisting at my feet. “You let anyone walk into my home without my command? You dare?”The guard dropped to his knees, trembling.I drew a sharp breath and forced myself to calm. “Enough. I’ll deal with you later. For now, take me to her.”He nodded quickly and hurried ou

ALVINA'S POV:I've made a grave mistake. What should I do now?Just then, I opened my eyes, and realized that I was still at Kieran's door. I was only imagining everything that had happened.I let out a shaky breath. “If I go in now… he’ll start suspecting me. He must not know I serve Melanie. I can’t be careless.”Slowly, I turned to leave. “Better to plan… better to make Jade hate him on her own.”A voice spoke behind me, calm but deep. “Wise choice.”I jumped, spinning around. “Who’s there?”Out of the shadows, Hardin stepped forward, smirking. His golden eyes glinted.Hardin wasn't caught by Melanie. He was lucky not to experience what we went through in Melanie’s dungeon. He was angry at me for calling him childish. He has been free all these while but he didn't even look for us.“Relax,” he said. “It’s only me.”My chest tightened. “Hardin… you startled me.”I had to behave like everything is normal. I have been compelled to finish this mission and I will do everything possible

ALVINA'S POV:I paced the dark hallway until the air around me shifted. A cold wind blew, and then she appeared, Melanie. Her eyes burned red, her smile sharp.I bowed quickly. “Lady Melanie… I came to report.”“Report?” she snapped. “Go on.”I hesitated. “It’s Jade. She has been behaving strangely. She sneaks around, whispers to herself. I think she is hiding something from me.”Melanie’s face twisted with rage. “And you only tell me now? Foolish girl!”I flinched. “Forgive me, my lady. I was trying—”“Trying?” Melanie cut me off, her voice like fire. “I gave you one task: keep Jade under control. Yet she walks freely, and you know nothing. Do you want my plan to fail?”“No!” I cried. “Never!”Melanie stepped closer. “Listen well. If Jade regains her memories… if she slips from my grasp… It is your fault. And if my plan fails, you will suffer in ways you cannot imagine.”Her words made my heart freeze. I bowed lower, shaking. “I understand. I won’t fail again.”“You’d better not,” sh

JADE'S POV:I feel she would lead me to the right part.“Alvina, can we talk later? I want to go to my room and rest". I said to Alvina who nodded at me with a smile.“Where are your maids?". Alvina asked as I stood up.“I gave them some days off". I answered.“That's so kind of you. Alright go and have some rest but remember my words". She said and I nodded.I went inside my room and then locked the door as I was instructed to do by the person that spoke through my head.I sat on the make-up chair, facing the mirror and then she appeared inside the mirror. Lotus looked exactly like me.“You look just like me". I said to her,“Yeah, that's because we are identical twins". She replied."So what happened to you?”. I asked her. Her smile faded. “I no longer exist. I died during the war caused by Melanie’s mother. After she released the poison that was able to kill the dragons, our world became chaotic. So many dragons lost their lives. But that's a story for another day.”“I have an unf
