KELLY'S POV

As the class ended and the students started filing out, i remained in my seat as usual, lost in thought. I couldn't stop thinking about what had happened. Why had Jimmy been so angry? What had I done to deserve such treatment? After all he also could have watched his steps too. My luck again.

Of all the people in the campus it had to be Jimmy. He made me felt so useless. I knew I was always bumping into things but no one would see that these things were always in my way. I wanted to run away, far away from this campus. But then, I still had to consider my efforts and I knew I could endure Jimmy, even for a day more.

The only way he'd spared me before was because I told him I would change my wardrobe. And I hadn't done any of such, I was still in my, 'Dowdy' looks. I had intended to avoid him for the day, why not the weeks ahead. But then, my bad luck had my life in the tip of it's finger, toying with it.

I thought, if I did survived today's torture, I was going to be walking with my head up high. Because my heart was in a race as I sat on my bench, awaiting them. I knew i should have done as he instructed, stayed out of the school, out of his sight, for my own sake, but i just couldn't bring myself to obey that.

I sighed and started to gather my things, preparing to leave the classroom. Just maybe luck would kiss me this once and my bullies won’t show up. I felt exhausted, both physically and emotionally. I just wanted to go home and forget about everything that had happened today. I didn't want to think about Jimmy, or school, or clothes. I prayed I escaped on time.

Who am I kidding, as i walked out of the classroom, i heard a voice that made my blood run cold. "Stop right there," Jimmy called out to me, his tone cold and imperious. "No need to be in such a haste now."

I turned to face him, my heart pounding in my chest. I didn't want to talk to him, but i knew i couldn't refuse. "Please, just let me go?" I pleaded, trying to keep my voice steady.

Jimmy's eyes narrowed, and he fixed me with a steely gaze. "I will definitely let you go," he said, his voice low and menacing. "And you'll go so far away."

The implication of his word cut through the air razor-sharp. "So far away" the words echoed in my head. God, he wasn't serious.

Or dear, he was damn serious.

An idea played in my mind,-"The school administration"

Bad idea. The school administration wouldn't be enough to tame the beast I'd awakened. I imagined him storming into my life, fueled by a hunger for revenge that would leave destruction in its wake.

The thought sent a shiver down my spine. "Jimmy, please. Just let me go. I promise I'll stay so far away from your side. But I can't just leave school. "

"You wouldn't just leave" He grinned, flicking his eyes to his friends and back to me. "You will formally sign out." He muttered, the gravity of his words heavy, too heavy for me to grasp.

My heart pounded in my chest. I was terrified of him, and i didn't know what to do. Should i speak up and defend myself, or would that just make him angrier? My mind raced, but my body was frozen, rooted to the spot. I couldn't move, couldn't think, couldn't breathe. All i could do was stand there and take his taunt.

Finally, Jimmy seemed to run out of steam. He stopped yelling but the malice in his words was unmistakable as he expressed his frustration to his friends. "Man, She's such a pain," he said, seething.

His friends all nodded, commiserating with him. "Man, just deal with her, your way.," Dante said, with no mercy.

"Yeah buddy, You need to put her in her place. Imagine seeing her everyday, it's like a painful reminder of that moment. " The other guy added.

"Please, just let me go. I'm sorry I didn't mean to.... I'm sorry I didn't know anyone would be in that building, I just..." I trailed off incoherently.

"Shut up!" Jimmy snapped, his voice sharp it shook me off my track. "No more words from you. You'll listen to me, and you'll do exactly as told."

Only a miracle could save me now. I prayed the heavens listened to me for ones, and my bad luck would finally give way for some new found luck. Or maybe this the moment I would fight for myself.

"From now henceforth, I don't want to see you in this campus!" Jimmy's words cut through the air, his voice laced with venom. "Get the fuck out!" His anger was palpable, and for a moment, it seemed like the entire school held its breath.

But before I could even process the intensity of his outburst, a voice came from behind, firm and commanding. "She is not going anywhere."

The words were a statement, not a suggestion, and they hung in the air like a challenge.

I turned to see the owner of the voice, and my eyes widened as I took in his imposing figure. He was tall, with broad shoulders and a chiseled jawline that seemed carved from granite.

But it was his eyes that really caught my attention. They were a striking blue, and they held a fierceness that i hadn't seen before.

His eyes locked onto Jimmy, and the air seemed to grow heavier, as if the weight of their confrontation was about to crush everything in its path. "You don't have such right. Little brother." he said, his voice low and even, but laced with a steeliness that left no doubt he meant business.

The words "little brother" echoing with a weight that seemed to reverberate deep within me. Brothers? They were brothers?

The possibility sent shockwaves through my mind, and I felt like I'd stumbled upon a secret that was meant to remain hidden. My eyes darted back and forth between the two men, searching for any signs of familial resemblance, any hint of a bond that went beyond mere acquaintances.

"And who do you think you are to tell me what I can and can't do?" Jimmy growled, his anger palpable.

The air was thick with tension as the brothers exchanged heated words, their friends and I watching in silence.

  • SHE'S MINE ALONE   CHAPTER 72: The wedding Night

KELVIN'S POV The night drew on, and the party continued at the mansion. The atmosphere was thick with music and people sipping on their drinks in every corner. I sat with my dad, surrounded by a sea of suits, all of whom had come to congratulate me on my marriage and, more importantly, my entry into the business world. My dad, beaming with pride, raised his glass. "To my son, Kelvin, and his beautiful bride, Kelly. May your union bring us all prosperity and success. And, of course, I'm proud to say that Kelvin has finally gotten his degree and is ready to join the business world properly." The businessmen around us chuckled and echoed the sentiment, offering their congratulations. I smiled, shaking hands and thanking them, but my mind was elsewhere. Where was she, my wife? She hadn't been anywhere insight since we left the church. I excused myself, standing up. "If you'll excuse me, I need to go find Kelly," I said, excusing myself from the group. As I made my way thr

  • SHE'S MINE ALONE   CHAPTER 71: "I DO"

KELLY'S POV Two months had passed since my father's release from prison, and everything had fallen into place. He'd been given back his company and house, and now I lived knowing I had a family. Anna had moved in with Beck's family after our graduation, and I'd moved in with Kelvin to his penthouse. Jimmy and I were in good terms now, and he'd had to accept that I was dating Kelvin. Interestingly, Jimmy had fallen for Debbie, who'd been there for him since his mother's imprisonment. Today, all the girls and I were at a beauty salon, getting pampered and prepped for the big day – my wedding. As the stylists did their magic, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the journey that had brought me to this moment. I couldn't wait to walk down the aisle and marry the love of my life. The thought of spending the rest of my life with Kelvin filled me with joy and happiness. "When are you and Dante tying the knot?" Debbie joked, winking at Ashley. Ashley laughed, a secretive sm

JIMMY'S POV I walked into the prison, my heart heavy with emotions. It had been two days since everything went down, and I was still trying to process it all.I was led to the visiting room, and my mom was already there, waiting for me. She smiled, her eyes warm. "Jimmy, my son," she said, her voice soft. I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself, but it was no use. The anger, the hurt, the betrayal - it all came flooding back. The faint smile on her face was like a punch to the gut. How could she be smiling? Didn't she know what she had done? I sat down, trying to keep my emotions in check, but it was like trying to hold back a tidal wave. "Why, Mom?" I asked, my voice shaking with rage and hurt. "Why did you do it?"My mom's expression didn't change, her eyes still shining with a cold, calculating glare. "I did it for you, Jimmy. I wanted to give you the best life possible."The words were like a slap in the face. "The best life? You stole from Dad, from Kelvin's mom.

" I head to the room for a quick shower. The bruises on my face were starting to sting, and I wanted to look presentable for what was to come. I changed into a fresh suit then made my way to the party, receiving condolences from guests along the way. I nodded and smiled, but my mind was elsewhere. I took a seat, my eyes scanned the room, finally landing on Veronica. She was smiling and laughing with the guest, oblivious to the storm that was about to hit her. I stood up, my eyes locked on her. My father, seated beside me, placed a hand on my arm, his eyes questioning what I was about to do. I gave him a reassuring nod. The music stopped, and I stepped forward, my voice ringing out across the room. "Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for gathering here tonight to pay your respects to my mother. But I think it

KELLY'S POV I stepped out of the car, my heels clicking on the driveway as I took in the sight of the mansion. The atmosphere was already electric, with sleek cars and rich-looking people milling about. Anna smiled and took my arm, leading me inside. As we entered the grand hall, I couldn't shake off the feeling of unease. I pulled out my phone and tried Kelvin's line again, but it went straight to voicemail. "Hey, Kelvin, we Just arrived at the mansion. Where are you?" I said, trying to keep my voice light. Anna placed a reassuring hand on my shoulder. "Kelly, calm down. He told us he was on his way, just relax." But I couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off. I had tried calling him multiple times, and he wasn't answering. JIMMY'S POV I stood on the balcony, sipping my whiskey, watching the guests arrive at the Montego's mansion. The celebration of Kevin's mom's life was a farce, a show of wealth and status. "How are you, Jimmy?" she asked, her voice concerned.I forced a smile. "I'm fine, Mom."She nodded, her eyes knowing. "I've planned something that will take care of Kevin, that'd eliminate him from the company. But not tonight."I raised an eyebrow, impressed. "Hmm, that's good news, Mom." I let out a mirthless smile knowing that deep down, Kevin's going down. My mother smiled, a cold glint in her eye. "Tonight, let's just enjoy the celebration.
