*Aria's Pov*

“We're here, There is no going back now,” he says.

“Open the damn door” I said. Every part of me already drunk and wanting.

The door clicks shut behind us. The sound is final.

I don’t look around the room because I really don’t care if the walls are blue or if there are books on the nightstand. It is a space that doesn’t know me. That is the only thing that matters.

I am standing in a vacuum. My old life is on the other side of that wood, and for tonight, it can stay there.

  • SHE WAS NEVER HIS MISTRESS    Chapter 142: Dinner

SIENNA’S POV I had not been on a proper date in a long time. Not since before Catherine was born. The last time I did anything like this, I was a totally different person but now I am a mom with stretch marks, messy hair most days, and a heart that had been closed for so long. What if I messed this up? I could not do this alone. I really needed help but I had not made time to have any friends since I moved here. Gosh my life is a mess. I picked up my phone and called Aria. She was basically the only close female friend I had. She answered on the second ring. “Hey Sienna, what’s up?” “Aria… I think I’m having a panic attack,” I said, pacing around my living room. She laughed softly. “ Why?” “So basically a friend from work asked me out to dinner. Like a real date. And I said yes.” “Awwn Sienna that is beautiful” “No it is not Aria, I have not been on a date in forever. I don’t even know how to do this anymore. What am I supposed to wear? What if I say something stupid? What

SIENNA’S POVIt has been a few months since I started this job and also a few months of slowly getting to know Daniel. After he showed up at my apartment last week with those orchids, I could not stop thinking about it. No matter how hard I tried to push the memory away, it kept coming back. He had driven all the way to my place just because I did not show up at work. He held my crying daughter until she fell asleep. He was patient and kind when I felt like a mess. It was one of the most thoughtful things a man had done for me in a very long time, apart from Flynn. I felt so grateful that I stayed up the whole night baking him a cake. He once mentioned in passing that he loved cakes. I made it simple but with extra care, adding a little vanilla the way my mother used to. I even remembered the orchids he brought. They were my second favorite flowers. I found myself smiling the whole drive to work that morning.Since everything that happened with my parents and then Catherine’s father,

  • SHE WAS NEVER HIS MISTRESS    Chapter 140: Morning After

ARIA’S POVFlynn left for work a little later than usual. He almost didn't want to go but there was some emergency at the office that couldn’t be ignored. He stood at the door for a long minute, looking at me like he was afraid something might happen the second he drove away. I kissed him softly and told him I would be fine. He finally left after making me promise to call if I needed anything. The house felt quiet once he was gone. I sat on the couch for a while thinking about last night. How perfect it felt. How close we were and how we were really trying to make this work. We were serious about it this time. No more running away from the hard parts.Last night actually made me realise how much I missed him. His touches, his kisses, everything. Thinking about it made my face feel warm. I snapped out of my daydream when my phone buzzed on the table. I picked it up and saw a message from Mia.“Hi Aria. It is Mia, Dominic’s sister… Congratulations on your pregnancy.”I stared at the me

FLYNN’S POVWe were already naked from the pool. The water still clung to our skin as I carried her upstairs. Aria’s legs stayed wrapped around me and her arms held my neck tight. We kissed the whole way, hungry and desperate. When we reached the master bedroom I kicked the door shut behind us and laid her gently on the bed.She looked up at me with dark eyes full of want. “Flynn…”I crawled over her and kissed her hard. Our bodies pressed together, wet and warm. I moved down her neck, sucking lightly on the skin there until she moaned. My hands roamed over her breasts, thumbs brushing her nipples until they hardened. She arched into my touch.“Touch me more,” she whispered. “I need your mouth on me.”I kissed lower, taking my time. I sucked one nipple into my mouth while my fingers played with the other. She gasped and gripped my hair. I kept going down, kissing her stomach, her hips, the inside of her thighs. She spread her legs for me without hesitation.I settled between them and

FLYNN’S POVI came home earlier than usual that evening. The house felt warmer when I walked in. Aria was in the kitchen finishing dinner. We ate together quietly at the table. The food was simple and good. She had made chicken and rice with some vegetables. We did not talk much at first. Just the sound of forks on plates.“How was your day?” I asked after a while.“It was fine. Little kicks here and there from your offspring.” “My offspring?” I laughed gently “That's a very interesting way to put it” “Whatever Flynn.” She smiled “Jordan stopped by. We talked for a long time and it was nice.”I nodded. “That is good. I am glad you had company.”She asked about my day and I told her. Meetings. Some paperwork that took longer than expected. Nothing really exciting. She listened and asked a few questions. It felt normal. Comfortable. After dinner I went upstairs to shower. The hot water helped wash away the tiredness from work. When I came down I could not find her in the house. I look

  • SHE WAS NEVER HIS MISTRESS    Chapter 137: Two Little Lines

JORDAN’S POVI sat in the hospital's waiting room with Ryan’s hand holding mine as it was time for our first ultrasound. I was six weeks pregnant and It still sounded strange when I said it out loud. We had tried for so long and now it was happening. Naturally. I could not wrap my head around it. Ryan kept squeezing my fingers gently. He looked nervous too but in a good way.“Jordan Blake?” the nurse called.I signified. We stood up and followed her into the room. I lay on the table and lifted my shirt. The doctor smiled as she put the gel on my belly.“Ready to see your baby?”I smiled and nodded. Ryan stood beside me. His hand never left mine. The screen came on and the doctor moved the wand around my belly. At first it was just gray shapes. Then we saw it. A tiny little bean with a flickering heartbeat.“There it is,” the doctor said softly. “A very strong heartbeat.”I stared at the screen. Tears filled my eyes and spilled down my cheeks before I could stop them. Ryan leaned dow
