LOGINI was trying to think of reasons why I would be called to “the boss” office.
I clearly haven’t done anything. I made sure no one was passing when Emily raised her voice, so please what’s going on? “I’m here to see Mr Harold.” The words left my mouth and only then did my palms start sweating again like it did in the elevator. I couldn’t have done anything wrong, could I? His secretary doesn’t help matters either as she gave me a rather rude once over, looking at me like I shouldn’t be wearing what I was wearing right now. It was just a knee length skirt and a work blouse that had a small opening at my upper chest region. Just a little opening that showed a little skin and maybe a little view of my tits. But that shouldn’t be any issue. It’s Nathan and I’m pretty sure he’ll remember whose girlfriend I was. “He called for you first thing this morning?” She said, though it came out more like she was asking me to confirm what she was likely seeing in her system. I was confused but maintained a small smile, acting like I wasn’t scared why I was suddenly summoned. “Mmm mm. Am I too late? I can come another time if he’s busy.” I said quickly, thinking of a way out. I just couldn’t think of any reason why he would call me here. The only other thing I could think of was maybe it was to fire me? but he didn’t handle that directly, so it can’t be. Or can it? “He has the whole day free. Mr Harold flew in today and sent for only you so no it’s not too late.” Her voice was cold and definitely angry. He flew in today? I know he’s never around but why did he have to come in today to fire me directly? Is this all because of his bad blood with Ryan? I maintained my smile even though I hated the way she looked at me like I was about to snatch something from her. “Can I go in now?” “Yes.” She said very bluntly like we were fighting or something. I quickly walked away, really hating the suspense of not knowing why I was called here. “I don’t know what’s with fine ladies and doing plastic, do you all have to take every man?” She murmured to herself but loud enough for me to hear. I paused in my tracks, confused as to why and how she would mention me and plastic in the same sentence. I turned to face her, my eyebrows raised in confusion. Her eyes darts towards my chest very quickly and she looked away immediately, staring at her laptop like she didn’t just say something rude to me. I wanted to call her on it but on second thoughts it’s better I find out why I was summoned here first. His secretary was the least of my issues as my phone dings just before I could knock on Nathan’s door. ‘Hope you still went to work today? Please make sure you go and be a good girl for both of us.’ A message from Ryan popped up all over my screen. I didn’t have time to think it through and knocked twice and let myself in. His secretary definitely already told him I was here and now it was my turn to find out why “Good morning sir.” My voice leveled and professional. My greeting unanswered as the man I was to meet had his back at me. He sat down on the expensive looking chair, facing the glassed very tall windows, enjoying the beautiful view outside. He was a little taller than his chair so I could properly see his short buzz hair cut that was dyed silver. I stood still where I was, waiting for him to turn around before asking questions I felt were already at the tip of my tongue. Those few seconds were the longest as I had to stand and stare at his very near cut, take in his luxurious perfume to the point where I was sure that his perfume was definitely the only thing in my system right now. I almost forgot all about everything that happened before I stepped into his office all because he smelt heavenly. Too bad his actions weren’t the same. “Look around and pick a good corner so we can have your office set up there.” His voice was rich and rough at the same time. His chair turned round as he looked straight at me with a smirk. “And how are you Olivia?” He continued, his voice different. He looked different, I had only seen him once at a general meeting so he was definitely going to look different. Pfft. But did I just hear well? What’s with my hearing abilities today, do I need to go for a check up or something? I answered him anyway even though I wanted to ask how he knew my name. “I’m fine sir, thank you. Please can you come again? Or where you on a call or something?” I gave a small smile, looking at him closely to check if he had airpods on but none was there. He smirked even more. That weird kind of smirk that keeps you smiling even when you don't feel like it. “Look for a space you can turn to your office Olivia, or should I call you wife already?” The smile disappeared immediately, because I definitely heard correctly this time around. “I don’t get you? Are you high on something?” The words slip out on their own accord, before I could rethink and stop myself. I was pretty much having a shitty day already, I didn't need one more crazy person to add to it. Not with such an expensive joke. He wasn’t smirking anymore, he was freaking smiling now. “He did say you’ll be fiesty so I should take it easy with you.” He continued saying jargon that I didn't understand. I lost my cool Stance, hating the possessive look in his eyes right now. Ryan’s words played in my head as he told me how much of a playboy Nathan was because of his striking handsome face, his godlike body and family’s endless wealth but he should know better than to play such jokes.~Olive~I was in Emily’s office again, telling her all about yesterday even if she didn’t ask me for this informationb She didn’t but after minutes long of telling her everything, she looked invested and listened to it all. And there wasn’t supposed to be any pushing away from her because it was past lunch and I was using my wifely privilege being here. Even though I knew I probably shouldn’t since I should probably be setting an example for others but scratch that. It's only been weird since my married life became publicly known and sitting down there any more minute would have literally driven me crazy and it was so boring nowadays. Maybe I should really look into taking on real tasks now. And people on my floor weren’t helping any matters as everyone has been acting extra careful around me, refusing to stare for too long which I liked anyways. But just this one. There was complete silence and no noise when they knew I was in my cubicle, and now I was slowly missing them when
~Olivia~ Alex sent me her school details even though I told him that it was fine and he shouldn’t bother because I’m sure she would be fine. But no he sent the details and now I was clocking out just a little early from work because somehow I couldn’t just get rid of the thought that she was gonna be back anywhere from 4pm. I shouldn’t be bothered, I mean she’s seventeen and could take care of herself perfectly. Let’s not forget the fact that she can cook.. to the best of my knowledge. But no, I clearly didn’t let that sink properly and was home now. And she was right at the island when I came in. Digging her hands into something. It was 4:20pm, almost the same time I predicted she would be back after I calculated the distance from her school to the house. She raised her head to see who walked in. And I didn't want her getting any ideas since that was possible since I didn’t come in with Nathan. Let’s just say I wanted to come back on time because I can and nothing becau
~Olive~“You didn’t tell me about this?” I dragged my fingers across his new desk. It was weird to see him here but hmm.. not so bad either. “Oh I had no idea you didn’t know.” He adjusted his glasses, looking so off behind his setup. I nodded, gesturing with my hands that it was okay. It’s not like we were in great talking terms and that was majorly on me. I looked at him and he’s alerted by my look. Looking confused why I looked at him like that but he waited for me to spill my thoughts and didn’t urge me. “If you are here, then who’s gonna manage the other branch?” It was a valid question since I knew he was always up and everywhere. And now putting him here? It didn’t feel much like him. I thought I was saying something quite serious but nope.. Alex is smiling and staring right back at me. “What? You really like it here?” More than the well put office he definitely had back in the other branch. “Erhm, I wouldn’t say I don’t and you should know that it’s temporary. I was
~Olivia~ “You should have told me if anyone was giving you issues, especially if that person was my damn secretary.” “For fucks sake Olivia, you have no idea how I felt hearing her trying to paint you as something else in my face.” He was mad angry but still tried to speak calmly to me. But the way he looked at me, held me sat at this exact spot like he wanted to purposely show me how he felt and not say it with words. I swallowed in nothing. Okay, it looks like whatever happened was serious. He very much sounded like it. “What happened?” I feigned ignorance again, trying my best to skip the part where he was trying to tell me that he was angry at me. I was the one pretending to be angry at him a few minutes ago, why were hands changing so fast. “Don’t switch up anything Olivia. I was gonna ask you when I was a lot calmer about the situation but clearly I can't push it off any longer.” He uttered, having complete control of his temper right now. Impressive. Though his eye
~Olive~ “Hey” I said with a small smile plastered on my face as I let myself in. He took his time before looking up and when he eventually did. There’s a small frown on his face, though it was obvious he knew it was me who walked in. “Hey.” He said the same thing, and gave me back my monotonous words. I brushed it off, then walked closer. I know he has every right to be slightly angry with me since he single handedly texted me about lunch and what he would be ordering. So it was quite normal to see him like this after delaying for about twenty minutes, if not more because I sat down with Emily to think through her words if I should come up here to ask directly or find out on our own. I eventually I’m here after she literally begged me to leave. I didn’t feel like apologizing and besides I don’t see any lunch here yet. Or did he cancel because I didn’t show up on time?? Nah.. Nathan wasn’t that petty. “Er .. erm” I cleared my throat to get his attention back on me as he alr
~Olivia~ “So she’s still at home?” Emily asked, a lot surprised by the news I freely told her. I came here immediately, it was lunch time and as I wanted, I didn’t have to overwork myself upon resumption back to work. And so I had the time to give her the latest. “Should be or maybe she’s resumed classes already.” I filled her in, looking past the surprise look on her face. Of course she knew I wasn’t a wicked person and even if I ever mentioned not wanting to deal with Chloe, I definitely could go on with keeping her away. And again, I think I’ve calmed down more but I still would keep my distance. “What really changed your mind?” She tilted her head, looking at me closely like that would surprisingly make a complicated answer spill out. I smiled, not out of my will but because Emily was forcing me too. “I couldn’t keep her away from her brother and sincerely I have no issues with the teenager.” I hope this was enough for her to drop it. I just wanted to let her in about
~Olive~ I walked as fast as my legs could carry me, refusing to look back and trying my best not to trip because I could somehow still feel his intense gaze on me. Not until I walked out those doors did my mind settle back down, my hands pressed against my dress as if that'll make me forget what
~Olive~ It’s almost a week and all I got was a text before I got to bed. I didn’t like that, and didn't respond to any of his texts only because I originally thought he would bombard me with a lot of texts since he was away. But a shocker since I was only left with one text a day. I told Emi
~Nathan~ I thought I was going to have to do a lot more than calling her boyfriend in front of her to get her to sign those papers. I watched her walk away just as I expected. She was heartbroken and I hated to see that. Because that only meant he had a special place in her heart. Her beaut
~Olivia~ We both stood there, looking at each other. My thoughts are certain that he was definitely high on something but he maintained his very creepy smile. “He did say you were smart, beautiful, full figured and obedient but I don’t think he was right about the last part now was he?” He sai
