Lila's POV

I couldn’t sleep that night.

I lay on my bed, looking straight at the ceiling. I felt my chest tightening. I fidgeted with my hands on the blanket.

I tried to force sleep, atleast to feel refreshed, but it wasn't forthcoming.

Every time I closed my eyes, I saw her face—Elara. That weak little omega. That nobody. I saw how David looked at her. He acted cold, yes, but I saw it. That tiny flicker in his eyes. That tiny pause in his voice.

He was slipping. Slowly.

I knew it.

And that scared me more than anything.

I rolled in bed from left to right. I wasn't comfortable. I couldn't be. My position, the position I've longed for since childhood is about to be taken away from me.

I can't stand watching Elara becoming Luna. And to crown it all, I can't stand her getting married to David. That would leave me totally devastated.

I have to do something!

But what will I do? It's the decision of the moon goddess. I can't possibly stand against the moon goddess.

Yet, I can't watch this

  • SOLD INTO THE LYCAN BROTHERS ARMS    A Bond Broken

Elara's povI stood before the king, my hands slightly shaking by my side. I watched them talking, arguing among themselves.I didn't say anything for a long time. I only stood wondering what they were talking about. They talked about ‘denouncing the mate bond.’I didn't comprehend at first, until the moon seer explained. Bryan and David want what we share broken. They want it broken forever, and I was the only one who could make that happen, by denouncing the mate bond. Now it was time for me to make the decision before them all.The question from the moon seer rang in my head. “Now, Elara Woods, do you wish to denounce the mate-bond between you and the Lycan princes: David and Bryan Moonshade?”All eyes were on me, waiting for what I would say. Bryan's gaze was piercing, like he would kill me if I said no. David's eyes darkened, I could feel it… He wants the chance to be with his Lila forever, and I was the only one who could make that happen. The king's gaze was tender. It was a

  • SOLD INTO THE LYCAN BROTHERS ARMS    Elara's Decision

David's povThe room was tense when he turned to the king. Or maybe not the room, but me.I couldn't explain how I felt, but I know I wasn't normal. I was becoming sick already, my body temperature was rising. What would I tell the king my aim was, for setting Elara up.“The moon goddess didn't speak about who was behind the set up.” The moon seer said.Wait, I wasn't exposed. I couldn't comprehend what his words meant. What exactly is he talking about? Well, his words were clear, but my mind wasn't clear enough to understand it.“What do you mean?” I asked sharply. Then I realized I wasn't supposed to speak. The moon goddess might get angry and decide to expose me. But I have already. He turned to me, his gaze tensed. My palms were sweaty. Gosh! I've messed up. I shouldn't have said anything. Now I would be exposed.“The moon goddess didn't reveal that to me.” He turned to the king. “She didn't reveal the mastermind behind the set up. But that doesn't matter now. What matters is tha

  • SOLD INTO THE LYCAN BROTHERS ARMS    Guilt And Schemes

David's povGosh! Bringing the moon seer was a very bad idea. Now he's proven Elara's Innocence.Well, I knew I felt something when I saw how Elara pleaded. Maybe compassion ? No one believed her. No one listened to her. I felt bad, knowing I was putting her through all these, using her own family against her. But, I didn't care. I just needed Elara frustrated. I just wanted her out of my life by any means. Besides, I didn't make her family hate her. They hated her from the beginning. In fact they accepted to come stay at the palace because of their hatred and jealousy for her. I didn't force it on them. So, why was I feeling guilty? Why was I feeling sorry for Elara? This was what I wanted right?I had a marked out plan. Why would the moon goddess want to ruin everything for me? It seems Elara has something like a link to the moon goddess. The moon goddess always protects her.First, she protected her from the moon forest, and now, she proved that Elara is innocent. What's so spec

  • SOLD INTO THE LYCAN BROTHERS ARMS    Vindication

Elara's POV“Get up!” A voice echoed around the dungeon while I laid on the ground, hopeless. It was one of the palace guards. “What have I done this time?” I asked. “You have no right to question me.” He spat as he dragged me up from the cold floor. “The king needs you in his presence right now.”But what have I done this time? I thought. It wasn't even up to two hours that he sent me to the dungeon. Why would he want me before him now?Has he finally decided on my punishment? Would I be exiled? Would I be sent back to my father's house? That would be the worst.Or probably, I would be sent out of the pack completely. Where would I go? Who would I run to?“Oh moon goddess. Save me.” My heart whispered as I was dragged out of the dungeon by the guard. He held my hand with his rough hand, and dragged me out like I was an object he could just fling out.My legs hurt so much because I wasn't wearing my Sandals. He didn't give me the time to.The rough stones on the ground pierced them,

  • SOLD INTO THE LYCAN BROTHERS ARMS    Breaking The Bond

Bryan’s POVI stood beside David, my arms crossed tightly. My eyes kept going to Elara, who was still crying in the corner of the courtroom. I tried not to look at her face, but it wasn’t easy. I didn’t know why, but something in me kept wanting to stare at her. Still, I didn’t let that happen. Not tonight. The king had just announced that she would be locked in the dungeon. He was angry. I was angry too. David was shaking his head in disgust beside me.“This is the one?” David said. “This is the girl we’re supposed to mate? The one chosen by the moon goddess?”I scoffed. “A thief? No way. There’s no way I’m ending up with someone like her. I can't have a thief become my Luna.”It felt like everything was falling apart. First, we both got linked to the same girl. Then now she was caught stealing? I didn’t care how beautiful she was. I didn’t care how soft her voice sounded. She was a criminal. And worse, she pretended to be innocent. The king leaned forward in his seat. “This is not g

  • SOLD INTO THE LYCAN BROTHERS ARMS    Thief

Elara's POVThat night, I was just in my room with Ava. We were conversing and laughing about different subjects. It was enjoyable to have a laugh after all that happened. The palace had recently been filled with stress, and I merely wished to get away from it all, even if only for a short time. Ava was braiding my hair, and I was telling her about how awkward I had been while cooking earlier. We both laughed loudly. My heart felt light. For a second, I forgot that I was an omega, forgotten and unwanted. But everything changed quickly. Two palace guards entered my room without knocking. They looked serious. I stood up immediately, confused."What... what's wrong?" I asked, my voice shaky. The king walked in right behind them.My eyes widened. I quickly bowed. "My king...""Do not fear," he said, his voice calm but cold. "We are only here to search for something."I nodded slowly, still not understanding. It looked like I was seeing a movie scene. I still couldn't understand what wa

  • SOLD INTO THE LYCAN BROTHERS ARMS    Game On

David's pov The next morning came in a flash. I was talking to the guards that followed me to Gary's house, to pick up Lisa and Jane.We were standing just outside the courtroom when Lila came. When the guards saw her, they bowed and left. She looked suspiciously at me. “Hey, David. I've been calling your phone, but you aren't picking up.”“Ummm… I….” I had no excuse. Well, I didn't hear my phone ring, but even if I told her, she wouldn't believe me. She would think I was intentionally avoiding her because of Elara.“Why didn't you pick your call?” She raised an eyebrow. I shrugged, slipping out the phone from my pocket. I scanned through the screen, and there were her missed calls.“I didn't hear the phone ring, Lila.” “That's a lie, David.” She said sharply.I knew it. I knew she wouldn't believe me. But it's the truth. I was lost in thoughts, thinking about the recent events with Elara. And Bryan on the other side, was competing against me to become king. I had a lot going on

  • SOLD INTO THE LYCAN BROTHERS ARMS    David's Proposal

David's pov Ava's voice kept resonating in my mind while I moved down the corridor. I couldn't explain why I felt pleased to learn that Elara was hated by her whole family. Everything Bryan and I were doing to Elara was intentional. We want her to get frustrated and leave the palace by herself. We want her to run. Run somewhere far. Somewhere she will never be found.I've promised Lila that she's going to be Luna when I become king, and that promise… I can't break it. So whatever the moon goddess’ intention is with that mate-bond thing, isn't going to work.I can't marry who I do not love. I love Lila, and Elara on the other hand… I hate her! I hate her so much. Her face disgusts me. I can't stand having her by my side for the rest of my life.By all means, I needed to force her out of the palace and the pack at last. That would be a relief for me, because when she's nowhere to be found, I would be asked to marry whoever I want.Elara must leave! I'll do everything possible to mak

  • SOLD INTO THE LYCAN BROTHERS ARMS    Ava

Ava's pov I was in my room that hot afternoon, humming while I gently folded my clothes. Most of the pack members were either sleeping or going about their daily activities. The palace was quiet. It's rarely this quiet. Or was it the absence of Elara. She had earlier told me she was going to see her dad. I’m very sure that if Elara was around, the palace wouldn't have been this quiet. Bryan or David would either be shouting at her or Lila would be making her life a living hell.I always saw when Elara would go in and out of her room, because my room was next to hers. So apparently, I knew everything she was going through.I would hear her cry all through the night, regretting why she was born. But in the morning, she would wipe her face and pretend she's fine. She always acted strong before others. But when she's alone… she would cry out her eyes.Elara is my friend, and it disturbs my heart to see her in pain. We're all servants, but she was always maltreated by the Lycan princes.
