David’s POV

That morning, I called Lila.

“Where are you?” I asked. “I want us to talk.”

Her voice came through the phone, sweet and proud. “Talk? What is it about”

“Let's meet first.” I said sharply.

She laughed, obviously excited about something. “I’m around the back gardens. You should come, baby. I’m having a little fun.”

I didn’t ask what she meant. I just nodded to myself and started walking there.

The sky was bright, but I wasn’t in a good mood. I didn’t even know why. Maybe I hadn’t slept well. Maybe I just felt… weird.

When I got close to the gardens, I stopped walking. I could hear voices. Lila was talking to someone, and she was laughing.

I moved closer quietly and saw them.

It was Elara.

She was scrubbing the stone path so hard, on her knees. Her dress was already very dirty, obviously from too much work. Her hands were tired and shaking.

She looked like she hadn't eaten. Well, the truth is she hadn't eaten since the previous day. I made sure of that.

I instructed the maid

  • SOLD INTO THE LYCAN BROTHERS ARMS    Found

David's pov I was still in the king’s chamber, pacing around. My heart was heavy. I could literally hear it's drumming in my ears. Elara was missing. Truly missing. My mind kept going to the worst places. What if she was hurt? What if someone had taken her, like the king said? What if she was out there alone and scared?I had to find her. I had to find Elara. I wondered what's happening to her now. I hope she wasn't hurt anyways.Wait… Did Lila do this? I saw how she looked at me when I held Elara in my arms. Or Bryan? Maybe he sold her out because he's afraid I would catch feelings for Elara. That thought made me sick. Then I heard someone walking in. I turned and saw Lila. She looked surprised when she saw my face. “Hey, my love.” She said. “How're you doing today. I've missed you.”“Hey, Lila.” I say coldly, without a smile.“You don't look fine. What's wrong.”“I'm fine.”“No, you're not.”I didn’t want to talk, but she kept insisting. I exhaled deeply before speaking. “Elara i

  • SOLD INTO THE LYCAN BROTHERS ARMS    Missing

David's povI didn’t sleep much the night before. My head kept going back to Elara.I told myself to stop thinking about her. I tried everything—closed my eyes, counted the stars, even tried to focus on other things—but it was useless. Her face wouldn’t leave my mind. The way she fainted, how pale she looked, and how afraid she was when Lila raised her voice.I kept hearing her voice, even in the silence. It was too much. The plan was never to hurt her like this. Just to make sure she doesn't catch feelings before the full moon. That was what Bryan and I agreed on.I wanted her to leave. If she left on her own, the bond would fade away and everyone would move on. It sounded simple at the start. But now… nothing about this felt simple anymore. The morning sun was already rising when I got out of bed. I couldn’t stay in that room any longer. My chest was too tight. I just wanted to know if she was okay. That’s all. Just to hear someone say she was fine, still breathing, still strong eno

  • SOLD INTO THE LYCAN BROTHERS ARMS    Sister

Ava's POVI watched Elara run into the dark. Her hair flying behind her. Her thin bag pressed to her side. Her footsteps were soft but fast.I didn’t stop her. I didn’t even feel sorry.Elara was finally gone. All I've ever wanted. All I've worked for.I stood still for a few seconds, pretending to be weak, in case any guard came back. But no one did. So I stood up straight. Then I turned around—and there was Lila, standing close to the wall behind me.She stepped out of the shadows like she had been there all along. Her arms crossed. Her lips curved into a smirk.“She’s gone?” she asked.I gave a small smile. “Yes, as planned.”Lila smiled wider, nodding firmly. “Good.”We looked at each other for a moment. Then we both laughed.“She really thought I was helping her,” I said, shaking my head. “Well, I helped her actually. I helped her into her doom.”“She had no clue,” Lila added, laughing. “All that crying. All that running. She doesn’t even know what she ran into.”“Of course not,”

  • SOLD INTO THE LYCAN BROTHERS ARMS    Free At Last

Elara's POV I didn’t cry when I walked out of the infirmary. Not yet.I just walked slowly. My legs were shaking like I would fall at any moment. My hands trembled. This wasn't hunger anymore, because I was already getting full when Bryan walked in and poured the remaining food on the ground.I was already getting ill. The pain and suffering recently has been too much to bear. The air outside was cold, but I felt hot within me. My body temperature wasn't normal anymore. If I continue this way, I might die.I didn't look back while I walked to my chamber. I didn’t want to see his face again. Bryan. I didn’t want to hear his voice. Not now. Not ever.I felt like he was walking behind me. Maybe just my imagination, but whatever it is, I was tired of seeing his face.I was tired of the palace. I was tired of the pack. I was tired of life entirely. The moon goddess only brought me to the world to punish me, but it's fine. I will wait for my death. But one thing struck my heart - David. I

Bryan's POV My jaw clenched. “She made her choice!” I shouted. “She chose to denounce the bond. Nobody forced her. And now she has to live with the consequences.”“And if she dies in the process?” he frowned.“That's her cup of tea. I don't care!”“So how do we mark her if she's no more.” David chuckled coldly. “Listen, Bryan. We need her alive and well. The moon seer said she'll be out breeder. We must Mark her.”“I don't care what the moon seer said.” I scoffed, my lips curling into a snare. “If Elara dies, it's to our advantage. At Least we won't have to worry about mate bond trash anymore.”David laughed. “And you think the moon goddess will let that happen? You think we won't get punished by the moon seer if Elara dies? Do you even think about the calamity that will befall the pack?”I laughed out, rubbing the edge of my nose. “When did you start thinking about all of these, David? I can see clearly that you're out of your mind.”“I just…”“Shut up, David!” I interrupted, my voi

Bryan's POV I was in my chamber, going through some scrolls, when Lila stormed in without knocking.“How dare you, Lila.” I spat.“Bryan,” she said quickly before I could finish. She was looking annoyed, “we have a problem.”I looked up, frowning. “What is it this time?”“It’s David,” she said.My hands fluttered up. “Well, I don't care. You and David should sort yourselves out, and don't get me involved in your problem.”She shook her head in frustration. “Gosh! This isn't about David and I.” She said. “Would you just listen to me?”I looked at her with a fixed gaze for a moment.“It's about David and Elara.”My heart skipped a bit as soon as she mentioned David and Elara. My curiosity piqued. “What about them?” My eyes narrowed. She walked closer, her eyes fixed into mine. “He’s getting soft. He helped Elara today… and he took her to the infirmary. You need to do something, Bryan.”I raised an eyebrow. “What do you mean he helped her?”“I was giving her some simple chores,” she sa

  • SOLD INTO THE LYCAN BROTHERS ARMS    Painful Reality

Elara's POVI was dismissed after that. And I walked back to my room with my head low.So what now? I'll have to be marked by David and Bryan? I would have to bear their babies. I would have to carry the babies of people who never loved. I would bear the babies of people who found joy in frustrating my life. Above anything, I hated the position of being their breeder. I should have known. Why didn't any of them tell me? Why didn't the moon seer tell me the conditions attached to denouncing the mate-bond.With my own mouth, I put myself in a position I hated most. No! I won't allow any of them to mark me. They can't have me. I must find a way out. I can't bear their babies, while they go ahead and get married to another. That will be more painful than what I'm facing already. I can't bear it. I reached my room, my face covered with tears. I couldn't control how the tears flowed down.Ava stood up immediately when she saw me. She embraced me in a warm hug, patting my back softly. My

  • SOLD INTO THE LYCAN BROTHERS ARMS    A Breeder Again

Elara's pov My lips parted. I couldn’t believe it.I was in a mess like this again. What would I say now? Should I tell the king I do not know what he was talking about? But that has always been my plea. Just yesterday, I was before the king because of his golden box found in my bag. Now, not up to 48 hours, I'm standing before him again, in the same position I stood yesterday, accused of what I know nothing about.Would the king believe me this time? Maybe I should try.“I… I wasn’t even near the east hall today,” I said, my voice trembling, my gaze downcast.Bryan stepped forward. “Are you saying the scarf walked there by itself, huh? Can you explain to us how your scarf got there?”David chuckled behind him. “Maybe it flew. Who knows? She might be hiding powers from us too.”The guards around the throne didn’t say anything. The room felt cold. My feet were shaking.“I didn’t break anything,” I whispered. “I swear.”“Then explain to us how your scarf was found in the scene.” Bryan
