Chapter 15

Bode stamped his right foot on the small ant which had encroached his privacy by laying comfortably beside him. He felt irked by the mosquito bites he had suffered for three days and the tiny lumps gaining territory over his cracked skin. His bloodshot eyes stared at empty space as he brood , mesmerizing with his mind so far away. A cold surge of emotions overwhelmed him as he crouched, feeling the urge to micturate while he glanced at the dust-coated paint pail at the farther end of the cell. He wondered if his mother had hear about his arrest yet and how loudly she will yell like one grieving a dead child. He felt his body ache and pain suppressing his bod. He resented himself now that he was in a gruesome situation as this and like a peripatetic overseeing a city - his place of tour; he stared - his chin with beads scanty as it rested on his coarse palms. He was wounded with his soul and mind. Now he felt battered and the arid environment wasn’t soothing to him.
