CHAPTER XII

Levon decided on staying at home even the next day. Despite the conversation with his dad, there was still lingering tension between her and his brothers.

While she prepared dinner, she heard the muffled sounds from the door. It was already eight by then which meant his brothers and father were back from the shop. She was making the lettuce salad when his father walked into the kitchen.

"Hey." he greeted.

"Hey."

"It smells like heaven in here." Leo announced as soon as he entered the kitchen. She felt her body tense before his father dropped a kiss to her forehead. It was his way of telling her it was okay.

"What smells so good in here?" Liam reached for the cover before Levon stopped her.

"What? I am only checking." he muttered.

"And I said no. Your hands are dirty." Levon glared. Liam glared but backed away nevertheless.

"Is it me or the kitchen smells like tension?" Mason interrupted.

"I knew this would happen since I saw you two at the garage." Leo said. Levon tightened the hand to
