AEON.

We were about to head inside the pack house when the sound of an approaching car erupted in the air.

All our heads swung in the direction of the sound, watching as a big black SUV entered the pack house grounds.

I sucked in a breath. I knew who this car belonged to.

And my hunch was confirmed the moment the car door opened and he stepped out.

"Jacob!" Kallan exclaimed as he rushed to where he was while the others followed except for Riley, who remained standing beside me.

My eyes focused on Jacob, but I couldn’t fathom his expression. He was wearing black sunglasses, hiding his eyes, but I saw him check me out for a millisecond before shifting his attention elsewhere.

"Haven’t seen you in a while." Kallan and the others gave him a hug as they shook hands, joking around like teenagers.

"Relax, he knows you’re here. So he went on his own knowledge that he would meet you here." Riley said in a calm voice before he went down the steps and greeted Jacob.
