Chapter 71

AEON.

"Submit, Argon!" I growled at him.

I knew his ribs were broken already from the weight and pressure I was putting on his chest. And they would never heal fast, and I could just end his life by digging into his heart. I could end this all now.

But I couldn’t.

I couldn’t find it in me to do this to the man who raised me.

Memories of my childhood kept flashing in my head as I stared him in the eyes - the man playing with me in my memory was totally different from the man laying down almost dead in front of me. He used to be the perfect father and mate, but the years and the greediness for power tainted his heart black. And then my mother died in front of his eyes - and that day, he was never the same again.

He would always tell me that only my mother believed in him. She was his greatest win and his biggest loss. She was the only person who never gave up on him. And I felt I would fail my mother if I gave up on my own father.

"Father… please submit. Don’t make me do this."

He seemed surprised his pack believes in him. He will be a good alpha, all the alphas will.

Arron's father is lucky he was only banished him and not killed him, but it doesn't mean the counsel won't kill him for him crimes
