23 Years Ago. SUZANNE’s POV (taken from her diary). I rested my forehead on the window as the car drove away from the border into the Silver Moon territory after we were allowed entrance. LADY KATARINA The party after the ceremony was already in full swing. Lucas did not leave my side the whole night as we went around and met our guests. But there were just too many, and I didn’t think we would be able to stop and greet everyone before the night ended. I never even thought of danger at the moment, for Aeon was with me. I guess I underestimated my father. The moment we stepped out of the Council building, the air changed and someone landed in front of me without making any noise. It happened so fast - the man stabbed Krane's arm with a dagger before he turned around swiftly, grabbed me by my waist, and headed for a run with my body dangling in his arms. It took a moment for everything to sink in and for me to realize that I was being grabbed and taken away. "Aeon!" I shouted at the top of my lungs, my hands extending in front of me as if I was reaching for someone to draw me out of the grip of the big man holding me. But there was no one there to save me. Aeon was so far away. I saw him launch forward and run after us. I didn’t tear my eyes off him as I fought my tears from falling.
