 Elena’s pov;

My reflection starred back at me, grinning. For once I tried to look pretty but I knew I was no where close to looking pretty. My flat chest made my stomach look fatter. My thighs looked even more fat than before.

I had to loose weight.

I was a mistake to my own mother. Mothers who are supposed to love you and care for you.

But mine was nothing like that.

She was never there for me. She never pecked me when I cried.

She never hugged me when kids bullied me.

My mother never cared about me, she was never home to raise me up, instead she brought a nanny for me who was a guy and was alcoholic. She was never there when I cried for help. Why? because of me, her parents disowned her. Her boyfriend also known as my father left her when he found about her early teen pregnancy. Teen pregnancy was never in their plan. She skipped college and was considered a mistake back than.

 And now I was one.

Shaking my head, I looked back in my eyes once again. They were empty. No love, no care and not even happiness resided in them. People at my age were happy but me? I was just a living soulless doll.

“Be quick.” Her loud voice rang in the house.

Sighing for the hundredth time, I tore my eyes away from the ugly fat body.

As I entered the living room, she was now dressed up in a new red velvet gown.

She was definitely the most beautiful women in her teens. People would have been so jealous of my father.

She looked at me, her eyes scanning my outfit with distaste. “Never wear dresses again, it makes you look even fatter.” With that she went out towards the car.

Ignoring the lump that had formed in my throat, I went outside towards her brand new car. I never knew she had this car. The crazy part is I never knew what she was like.

I never had any kind of interaction with her.

Sitting in the car, she started the escalator and we left the house, I called torture.

“Uh, where are we going?” I whispered, hoping she would answer but as always she ignored me and started typing on her phone with one hand.

I looked away and leaned my head on the window. My eyes followed the trees that went by and soon a board appeared on the side stating Los Angeles.

We were far away from the place where I lived. Hours passed by and we stopped infront of a black steel gate. The gates opened and we stopped infront of a huge mansion which was straight made out of glass. She turned towards me and said, “This is going to be my new home so behave.” I just starred back at her with no emotions within my eyes.

I nodded.

She had found herself a new man and she didn’t even tell me.

Getting out of the car, I saw a boy running toward her spreaded arms so she could engulf him. “I’ve missed you so much honey.” She smiled and placed a kiss on his head.

I quietly stood and starred at there interaction. A wave of jealousy flashed within my veins. I wanted my mother to kiss and hug me like that but I could only dream about it. “I’ve missed you too mom.” The boy replied

“Where are the others? They knew that I would be shifting today.” She said with a teasing smile.

He broke the hug and looked at my mom, a ghostly grin spreading on his face as he said, “they are kinda playing games and maybe forgot.”

“How could they?” She said with a sad face.

His body stilled as he eyes froze on me. “Who is that, mom?” She looked back at me and awkwardly said, “remember I told you I had a daughter but how can they forget?! I’ll scold them.”

She brushed me off like I was no one.

Looking down at my injury, I wrapped my other hand around it, so no one could suspect anything. And even if they would they wouldn’t care.

He looked at me one last time with a stern gaze and went inside with mother trailing beside him.

I followed them and saw a huge poster hanging off the ceiling. ‘Welcome back, mom’ it said.

I looked around and saw boys of different ages standing with huge smiles. Two of them were already hugging her. She laughed. Her angelic laugh which I never heard in my whole life.

The throbbing in my heart came back. I felt numb. She had found herself a happy family in which I wasn’t included. I never was.

A pair of eyes rested on me, his smile instantly vanished. The stern gaze came back just like the other boy who had seen me before. My breath hitched. His hazel orbs held hatred which was directed towards me. “Who is that?” He asked my mom and everyone stilled once again. They all momentarily glanced at me. There once happy faces filled up with anger.

Gripping the sleeve of my injured hand tightly, I exhaled a deep breath. “I had a daughter remember? She is Elena.” My mom said, brushing me off once again.

My empty eyes lingered on my mothers face who immediately looked away and ran in the arms of a new man who was standing at the end of the stairs with a huge smile.

He was indeed handsome. Raven colored hair and dark green eyes. He was tall just like all the boys who were here. He hugged her back and place a longing kiss on her head. “Welcome back beautiful.” He said making her smile.

They both broke the hug and came towards the boys with they’re hands intertwined. They started conversing with each other leaving me behind in the shadows.

They never acknowledged me.

As the man saw me, a hurt flashed through his face. His eyes insanely distant. It felt as if he had remembered someone close to him. Turning around, he took small steps until he stood  right infront of me. My lips tried to twitch into a smile but I couldn’t since I had never smiled. I didn’t knew how to. Infact I had never heard my very own laugh.

A small smile emerged on his face as he said, “I’m Damien, welcome to your new home.”

I nodded, "I’m Elena and thankyou.” The smile didn’t vanish away and he turned towards the boys telling them to introduce themselves.

The hazel eyed boy looked at me with those dark eyes, "Lucifer, 20.” The next one had blond hair and green eyes, “Stephan, 19.”

They weren’t fond of introductions.

Next one had tattoos all over his skin that made him look scary, his deep blue eyes held immense hatred and the darkness around him told me to stay away. “Elias, 18.”

“Lorenzo,” a boy spoke and he pointed towards the same looking boy, “is my twin, Vincenzo and we both are 16.”

“Ryder, 15.” The boy with the glasses said. And lastly I turned towards the other two boys who looked identical. “Zane and Shane, we’re 14.” I nodded once again. I was about to introduce myself again but decided against it since they were once again busy in there own world.

A world without me.

A world where I was nothing but just a mere human doll
