Jacob’s POV,
“Jacob, do you love me?”
“More than you will ever know.”
“Will you love me forever?”
“You know I will.”
“I love you too Jacob.”
“What’s wrong, baby?”
“I don’t feel anything good coming.”
“What do you mean?”
“I need you to promise me something.&r
Jacob’s POV,“I don’t know what’s going on, but Sadie and her parents are on there way back now.” Doctor Kim sat me down and told me. We had to be there when they released her to me at the police station where they would be arrested for leaving with her. Sadie had a lot of talents but mind control was not one of them. I was confused but happy at the same time. I couldn’t wait to get my girl back. “Just understand this. Even though Sadie’s parents bring her back. We still have to prove that Sadie is not crazy and can cope in this world without help.” I understood what the doctor was saying, but as long as I had Sadie I knew this was all going to work out.We pulled up to the police station and we went in and took a seat. That’s when the doors opened and Sadie came
I left my father’s office with no answers. I knew he was up to something, but what could I do without him coming clean. I could still hear Sadie talking with my mother. I walked into the living room and my mother was holding Julie. Sadie was talking about having Julie. My mother was just loving on my daughter. At that moment I had wished things were different. I had wished my family and Sadie’s family were normal. That these moments were real, but I knew better. I knew that Sadie and I needed to get out of here. I walked in and sat down next to Sadie. I placed my arm around her and pulled her close to me. My mother smiled at us. She then looked over to Sadie.“You got yourself one of the good ones.” My mother said. I smiled at her as she got up and handed Julie over to me. “I have to check on dinner. It’s good to have you, home son.” She said as she left the room.“I don’t get a bad reading off of your mother,” Sadie
“Are you going to shoot me now father?” I asked him as I kept my eyes on his eyes and not the gun. He shook his head and I stood my ground. I heard the door slam open behind me and my father’s body was slammed hard into the wall. Sadie came walking in and she didn’t even look like herself.“Let me down, I can’t breathe.” My father hissed out grabbing for his throat.“Sadie?” I said coming near her.“Leave, Jacob get Julie and your mother and leave here now!”“Sadie, I’m not going anywhere without you. Please if you do anything to him. We will have to run for the rest of our lives.”“He was going to kill you.”
She walked in with her mother I assumed. She looked young and shy. Her skin was fair and her lips were pink. Her long blond and brown hair was pulled into a loose bun. Her eyelids fluttered as she only made contact with the ground. Preventing me from seeing the color of her eyes. She wore a simple colored dress and soft pink flats. She was thin and tall with a full set of breasts. She walked in with the wind and caught my attention.I hid so she couldn’t see me. I knew she was here to see my father. Her mother signed her in and I caught her name, Sadie. My father doctor Joel Coleman. One of the most beloved psychiatric in Brockville. I sadly wondered what was wrong with this beautiful creature. She sat next to her mother, still looking towards the floor. “Jacob, where are you?” I heard my father holler out. Sadie turned her head slightly. I caught a flash of her blue-green eyes and then back to the floor they went.“I’m right here father,&
Sadies POV,I got home and my mother had dinner in the microwave. “I’m sorry I was so late.” She said to me.“It’s okay ma I understand.”“Who was that boy sitting next to you?” I took a deep breath.“No one,” I said looking down.“Remember Sadie Grace, don’t get too close.” I sighed.“I know ma.” I heated up my dinner and headed up to my new room. I was so sick of moving around, but we had to leave again. My mother set my pills down on my nightstand. I hated these pills they always made me feel like a zombie. I wasn’t sick, but it was the only way my parents could understand me. They refused to believe me when I told them differently. I’ve been in six different hospitals and have been in therapy for as long as I can remember. I have caused a lot of bad things to happen and it was always chopped up to be schizophrenia, but I knew better. I k
Jacob’s POV,I left as soon as she headed to her house. I found it funny that she found me in the park tonight. In one of my dark moments. She made me feel better. She made me forget why I was there in the first place. Her eyes seemed to be just as sad as mine, but I had no idea why she was sad. I had no idea who this girl really was or why she has to see my father. She doesn’t seem to be crazy in any way. She was quiet and didn’t ask a lot of questions, but she seems to also know a lot. What she doesn’t know is I was late for my mother’s dinner party. Or the fact that my father has a drinking problem. Or the fact that my father has an anger problem. Or the fact that my mother turns her head the other way. Or how much pain I have to go through. She doesn’t know that I take my father’s anger so my mother is protected.I could turn out to be just like my father, but I do my best not to. All I want to do is run. Run as far away fr
Sadie’s POV,“I think you’re special.” He said as he reached out and touched my hand. I looked into his eyes, but I couldn’t read anything. The only thing I could see in Jacobs’s eyes was sadness. I know I was wrong for this and I should have just pushed him away. I leaned in and laid my head on his shoulder. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes. I felt him kiss the top of my head. I didn’t feel anything negative towards him or from him, but I felt a sense of calmness. I haven’t felt that from anyone near me in a very long time. I looked down and saw blood on his wrist.“Come inside with me and let me clean you up,” I said and he nodded at me. My parents were not home and we were alone. I had Jacob sit on the toilet so I could clean the nasty cut he gave himself before I showed up. “Jacob, I know this is not my place and that you and I have only just met, but please don’t hurt yourself anymore.
“Sadie, what’s going on? Who is this boy?” My mother asked with her arms crossed. I stood up and made Jacob stand with me.“He is just someone helping me with school. He was just leaving.” I said hoping my parents would let him leave without saying anything.“And your name is?” My father asked Jacob.“Jacob Coleman sir,” Jacob said being as polite as he could.“It’s time to go, Jacob, it’s late.” My father said. Jacob nodded at him and grab his things. He started to leave but looked at me one last time before my father followed him out.Jacob’s POV,“I’m sorry sir to be here so late. We just lost track of time.” I said hoping to lessen the blow on Sadie.“Jacob son, my daughter is very special and also very sick in the head.” He started to say. I just looked at him as if he was the one who was sick. He mus
