DAKODA Curious about Stella's evening with Kai, I ask her, "So, how was your time spent with Kai last night?" Hoping for a positive response, I silently wish for her to reveal that they are dating, as she truly deserves someone special in her life. “It was good," Stella replies with a smile. "We went to a movie, then we got a slice of pizza from the food court in the mall. After that, we took a leisurely stroll down to the beach, where we ate and talked about everything and nothing at all." As she continues, her voice takes on a hint of vulnerability. "Koda, bear, I have never had a guy who just wanted to spend time with me for me, without any ulterior motives. It's a new experience for me, and I'm not quite sure how to act." A thought crosses her mind, and she wonders aloud, "I wonder if he is gay." “What's so funny, sister?" Stella asks, curious about my laughter. “Well, care bear, it's funny you say that because the guys are saying he's good at telling girls he's gay just to
DAKODA "Stella, are you home?" I call out as I arrive at the front door after a surfing session with the guys. However, there is no response, leading me to assume that she is out with either Kai or David. As I make my way upstairs to take a shower, I suddenly hear Stella running. Concerned, I enter the bathroom to find her curled up on the floor of her shower, sobbing uncontrollably. “What's going on, Stella? Are you alright?" I inquire, joining her in the shower and turning off the now cold water. I help her sit up against the wall, urging her to look at me. “Listen to me, Stella," I say, gently lifting her head so that our eyes meet. "What happened? Did someone hurt you again?" She lets out a laugh. "No, he just tried to kiss me, and I completely freaked out." “Who is this Kai?" I inquire further. “No, it's not Kai, it's David. Kai doesn't see me in that way," she explains. For now, I decide to let that comment slide. "How did you react, Stella?" "I started trembling
DAKODA We bring our mom to the diner we all adore. Once we settle into our usual booth, Mr. Rogers, the owner, curiously asks, "Hey guys, who's the babe?" This prompts Stella and me to burst into laughter at mom's surprised expression. "Mr. Rogers, this is our mother, Diana," we explain between giggles. "Mom, this is Mr. Rogers, the owner of the diner." Politely, mom responds, "It's very nice to meet you, but I'm happily married." Unfazed, Mr. Rogers extends his hand for mom to shake and says, "Oh, honey, so am I. I just wanted to greet a beautiful lady in a playful manner." Amused, mom replies, "You're funny," and proceeds to shake his hand in return. I just discovered something new about the owner of this place. I had no idea he played for the same team. Not that it matters to me. I really admire this guy. He's pretty awesome for someone in his thirties. “So, ladies, what's good here?" Mom asks, trying to change the subject. “The burgers are amazing," I tell her. “Alright, Roge
BROADCASTERS “It's that time again, Bob," Pat said. “Yes, indeed, Pat. So, do you think our boys will bring home the prize once more?" Bob asked. “Well, Bob, I believe it might be time for someone else to claim victory this year, don't you think?" Pat replied. “There are some pretty talented surfers out there this year," Pat added. “Surfy looking? Pat! Is that even a word?" Bob questioned. “It is now," Pat chuckled. “Well, folks, you heard it straight from Pat's mouth," Bob announced. “Well, Bob, are you excited for the next few days on this stunning beach in Hawaii?" Pat asked. “Yes, sir! I've been trying to subtly convince my wife to consider moving here, but she's not budging," Bob confessed. “You've got to make it seem like it's her idea. It works like a charm, Bob," Pat advised. "Alright everyone, let's kick off the day with our first male surfer, Axel Robbin. Axel is a standout in his division, competing against five others across the country. Pat, how many divisions
BROADCAST "Welcome back to round two of the surf off! Today, we will determine which surfer will secure a spot in the pro games tomorrow. Your game names always bring a smile to our faces, Bob." “Haha, that's right, Pat. It's all about adding some fun to the event, isn't it?" “Absolutely, Bob. Now, let's begin the day with the 21 and older ladies." “Pat, our first contestant is Melany Whitaker from Boston. She has been dominating the competition for five years in a row." “Let's see if Melany can continue her winning streak, Bob." “And there she goes, making her way towards the water, Pat." “Yes, indeed. Look at that incredible wave to kick off the games today, Bob." “Alright, here she goes. Will she be able to ride it all the way to the end, Pat?" "Indeed, she does! And she even executes a backflip flawlessly. How do these surfers manage to do it, Bob?" “Well, they claim it's all about consuming a substantial amount of chicken, Pat." “Well, then count me in for some chicken
Korey "Wow, the upper class is absolutely killing it this year," Gage grumbles. “Yeah, but you guys are on a whole different level," Dakoda says, trying to boost our confidence. “Aw, thanks babe," I say, kissing her on the forehead as we watch the other guys ride their waves and perform tricks. “Hopefully, all three of you can make it to the next round," Dakoda says. “They wouldn't stand a chance against all three of us," I tell her. “So, Dakoda, who do you think will advance to the next round out of the three of us?" Kasey asks. “Well, if I had to choose, I'd say none of you," Dakoda replies. “Well, that's not how it works, sweetheart," I say, wrapping my arms around her waist and pulling her in for a kiss. “It does when my boyfriends are trying to make me pick who's better. Not happening," she retorts. “Okay, you're right, that wasn't fair," I say, leaning into her ear, "but admit it, I'm your favorite." “I won't admit to that," she says, playfully slapping my chest. “So
KASEY "Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to the professional surf games today. We have the talented Kasey James from Hawaii, accompanied by his friends Korey and Gage. Kasey has proven to be one of the most skilled surfers this year, surpassing even Axel himself, in my opinion. Pat." “What are you talking about, Bob? That guy is the weakest link out there. You know Korey and Gage will outshine him just like they do every year. They only hang out with him out of pity for his lackluster performance." “Kasey, dude, your mom is on the phone." “Damn, these nightmares are getting worse." “Yeah, I'm awake," I respond, sitting up in bed and taking the phone from Korey. “Hello!" "Hey buddy, Ted and I just wanted to call and wish you luck today. Your brother says to tell you good luck and kick butt out there today." “Yeah, I'm sure Theo said to kick butt, mom." “Well, you know, to read between the lines." “Anyway, we love you buddy, and good luck." “Thanks, mom." “So, how
GAGE The sound of my alarm barely registered this morning as I woke up. I had spent most of the night surfing the internet, determined to make my girlfriend proud this year. With a couple of hours before the others woke up, I decided to go for a run. As I jogged, I suddenly heard a whiny voice beside me. It was Harlan, trying to get my attention. Irritated, I asked her what she wanted. She attempted to flirt with me, but I quickly rejected her advances. Harlan stormed off, and a few minutes later, I noticed her friends coming out of the woods, putting their phones away. It was clear that Harlan was trying to gather some information on me to cause trouble with Dakoda. I continued my run, eventually reaching the beach where Dakoda and Mac were surfing. Dakoda was doing well, but Mac seemed to be struggling to stay balanced on her board. I decided to head back home after a few more minutes. Once I returned to the house, I quickly showered and got dressed. As I made my way to the kitc
