A Taste of Blood and Fire

Regenerated

The wind howled through the broken windows of the safehouse as if warning them all to run. Aria’s chest rose and fell in jagged rhythm, the silver blade in her hand stained with blood—her own and theirs. Across the room, Dorian stood still, shoulders squared, his jaw clenched so tightly the veins in his neck were visible. His eyes, no longer purely human, glowed with a faint amber burn.

“You should’ve waited for me,” he said, voice low but laced with fury. “You weren’t ready.”

Aria dropped the knife with a soft clatter, her hand trembling. “I didn’t have a choice. They would’ve killed Mira.”

“She wasn’t your responsibility!” Dorian snapped, striding toward her. “You were supposed to stay hidden until I handled the East Wing guards—”

“I am your responsibility, right?” she cut in, chest heaving. “That’s what this has always been about, hasn’t it? Keeping me safe like I’m some fragile thing you can protect and cage at the same time?”

Savage Vows: Claimed by the Lycan KingThe snow fell in a slow, haunting hush as Kael and Aria stood atop the cliff, the winds lashing around them like the wrath of forgotten gods. Below, the dark forest yawned endlessly, an ocean of black pines and secrets. The moon hovered above them—full, red-tinged, unnaturally still.Aria’s heart thudded, hard and wild.Kael gripped her hand tightly. “Something’s coming. I can feel it in my blood.”She nodded. “I can feel it too. It's like the land is holding its breath.”He turned to her, eyes gleaming gold in the darkness. “We’re not alone anymore.”Just then, the wind shifted.A shrill howl cut through the air—not Lycan. Not beast. Something… other. Something older.Kael’s body went rigid. “That’s not from my pack. That sound hasn’t been heard in centuries.”Before she could ask, the cliffside behind them cracked. The ground trembled. Stones crumbled beneath their feet as a gaping crevice split open in the earth with a deafening roar.Kael sh

Blood Secrets and Broken VowsRain lashed against the high towers of Duskwatch Keep, casting long shadows across the ancient stones. Aria paced the length of the war room, her fists clenched at her sides, her pulse thundering. The scent of old magic curled in the air, thick and suffocating.“You should sit,” Keira urged softly, her voice tight with worry. “You’re burning through your energy.”“I can’t,” Aria snapped, turning on her heel. “He’s out there. Alone. And I feel him slipping.”She hadn’t slept since Thorne disappeared into the north woods to intercept the rogue coven rumored to be forming an alliance with the Forsaken Pack. He hadn’t returned, and worst of all—she could barely feel his bond. It had dulled to a whisper.Something was wrong. Deeply wrong.Keira cast a protective spell over the door again, her brows furrowed. “What if the Forsaken are masking him? Or… what if the witch queen’s prophecy is starting to unfold?”Aria flinched. The prophecy. She hated it. Hated t

The thunder cracked louder this time, shaking the old bones of the mountain temple as if the gods themselves were displeased with what had been awakened.Auren paced the ancient stone floor, his shirt drenched in rain, his eyes glowing faintly in the dim light of the torches flickering along the walls. He hadn’t spoken since they’d arrived, but the power radiating off him made everyone in the room keep their distance.Except for her.Sienna stood barefoot on the cold stone, her wrists still bearing the fading bruises from the enchanted shackles the witch had used to hold her during the ritual. The scent of blood, ancient magic, and betrayal lingered thick in the air. But she couldn’t afford to focus on that.Because whatever had been unleashed inside her was still changing.“I can hear everything,” she whispered, her voice trembling. “The forest. The heartbeat of the mountain. Even yours.”Auren’s head snapped up. His golden eyes bore into hers, wild and uncertain for the first time i

The Blood PactThe storm rolled in fast, a wicked wind curling through the trees like a predator on the hunt. The sky above the Lycan territory had turned an eerie gray, casting shadows on the forest floor. Auren’s voice still rang in Selene’s ears as they descended from the overlook—the weight of his revelation still sinking deep into her chest.“She’s alive, Selene. My mother didn’t die. She was taken.”Selene’s breath had caught in her throat, and now, hours later, it still hadn’t fully returned. The implications of Auren’s mother being alive—and possibly kept captive by the same witches that cursed him—shifted everything they thought they knew.Inside the war room of the Hollow Fang stronghold, torches cast flickering light across the map-strewn table. Auren stood at the head, one palm planted firmly as he studied the parchment before him. His warriors had gathered, forming a half-circle around their king, each one with tense, waiting eyes.“They’ve broken the Pact,” Auren growled

The Enemy in Her BloodRain pounded against the stone walls of the fortress as thunder rolled in the distance. The mountain storm mirrored the tension coursing through the Lycan King’s veins. Thorne stood by the tall arched window in the war room, jaw clenched, his golden eyes fixed on the horizon. They’d made it through the last wave of attacks from the rogue coven—but something still felt wrong.Behind him, Kael and two of the Beta commanders stood in tense silence. Maps littered the table, marked with sigils, blood-stained notes, and claw-dragged routes of recent enemy movements. But Thorne wasn’t looking at the maps.He was thinking about her.About Seraphina. She was supposed to be safe in the West Wing, protected by wards and warriors. But ever since the night of the blood moon, things had shifted. Something inside her had begun to stir—something darker than just her untamed magic.“I can feel her,” Thorne muttered, the words barely audible. “Something’s not right.”Kael exchang

The Moon's DecreeThe cold wind that swept through the ravine was unnaturally sharp, biting into Mira’s skin like a warning. She should’ve turned back, should’ve obeyed the Lycan guards who told her not to leave the palace walls—not now, not with the king away. But the pull had been too strong. Something had whispered her name in the dead of night, dragging her from the warmth of the silk-laced bed and into the shadows beyond the courtyard. And now here she stood, breath fogging in the night air, heart pounding beneath the thin linen cloak. She wasn't alone. At first, she thought the sound was just her own heartbeat echoing through the rocks, but then she heard it again—soft, deliberate footsteps. Not animal. Not wolf. Human.Mira turned slowly, every nerve in her body alert.A woman emerged from the trees. She was draped in a veil of midnight silk, her eyes glowing faintly with an unnatural hue. Her presence commanded silence. Danger. Royalty.“You’ve come far too early,” the woman s

Blood Oaths and Broken TruthsThe cold night air stung Marisol’s skin as she stood just beyond the stone circle, her breath curling in the dark like smoke from a dying flame. The forest behind her whispered secrets through rustling leaves, but her attention was fixed on the altar in the clearing—where Killian knelt. He was shirtless, his chest smeared with streaks of ash and blood. His head was bowed, raven hair falling into his face, but even from this distance, she could see his muscles trembling—not from weakness, but restraint. The ancient wolves of the High Council stood in a semicircle around him, each bearing the mark of an Alpha carved into their flesh. Their chants thrummed through the clearing like war drums, ancient and fierce. Runes shimmered faintly beneath their feet. Magic older than memory.Killian was invoking the Oath of Sacros, a blood vow so binding that even death wouldn’t sever it.Marisol stepped forward instinctively—but Gabriel, now wearing the crest of the So

Shadows in the SnowThe blizzard roared like a beast unchained, swallowing the landscape in a white abyss. Every tree looked like a twisted specter under the moonlight. Every howl in the distance sounded too close.Ayla pressed herself against Kael’s side, the thick fur cloak he’d thrown over her shielding her from the worst of the cold. But it wasn’t the temperature making her tremble. It was the silence between them.“What’s happening, Kael?” she asked, voice nearly lost in the wind.He didn’t look at her. His jaw was tight, eyes narrowed as he scanned the snowy trail ahead. They’d been walking for an hour—no guards, no sleds, no signs of pursuit. Only the prints they left behind, slowly being devoured by falling snow.“There’s magic in the wind tonight,” he murmured, more to himself than to her. “Old magic.
