“We are almost ready,” Gabriel said, nudging Emily toward the tables full of food. “Please, get something to eat. This does not have to be a formal setting. I know that you both have to be exhausted with everything that you have done over the last few days.” With that he turned and handed Emily, Angela, and Agatha a plate.

“Thank you,” Emily said with a smile as she took the plate and indicated for Agatha and Angela to go first. You know he sure is a lot nicer than I would have ever thought a king much less and Alpha King would be, Emily said to Rica. He doesn’t seem to use his authority or anything special. He seems really laid back almost.

I think that is because of us. Conri said that Gabriel and he never really cared about titles, money, or power. They do what they have to do, but that was it. I think the niceness is since they found us. We have tamed the savage beasts, Rica snickered.
