The Second Threat

Rudina’s POV

“Babe?” I called out to Volk but I got no reply. I sat up and put and on the light on my side and that confirmed my fears. Volk was not in the room. Was he cheating on me again? Who was the woman? Which ever way, I definitely knew that Volk was hiding something from me and whether he liked it or not I would find out.

Was finding out going to be easy? Hell no. A thousand and one things ran through my mind as I couldn’t settle my restless mind. This would be the fifth time I had woken up and didn’t Volk. I didn’t bother to check the bathroom again because I was sure he wasn’t there. The light to the bathroom was off.

I sat up and sighed deeply. I was not ready to go through the same thing over and over again. No not again. So I wore my robe and slippers and left for the room.
